Ryan earned a B.A. in English from LSU but discovered his passion for teaching math in the classroom. While teaching, he saw many students reach middle school feeling discouraged and convinced they “just weren’t math people.” Helping students rebuild confidence and improve their skills inspired him to make a broader impact beyond a traditional classroom.
Opening Mathnasium gave Ryan the opportunity to support more families in the Baton Rouge community. He is dedicated to helping students develop strong foundations, positive attitudes, and lasting confidence in math.
Julianne holds a degree in Elementary Education and began her career as a classroom teacher before moving into private tutoring. She joined Mathnasium in 2011 as a Membership Director and has since served in multiple leadership roles, including Center Director and Executive Director overseeing operations. She is passionate about helping students grow academically and build confidence in math.
Julianne enjoys supporting families and mentoring staff across the centers. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her two daughters, playing card and puzzle games, and relaxing with her favorite shows.
Molly is an LSU student majoring in mathematics with a concentration in secondary education and computer science focused on data systems and analytics. She enjoys exploring creative problem-solving and especially loved a discrete mathematics course that challenged her to explain concepts in new ways. Helping students make meaningful connections in math is one of her favorite parts of teaching.
Outside of Mathnasium, Molly enjoys horseback riding, reading, pottery, and video games. She is an enthusiastic music fan and the proud owner of a pet axolotl named Colonel Mustard.
Austin is a college student pursuing a degree in software engineering with a strong interest in mathematics, especially calculus. He enjoys helping students work through challenges and build confidence as they strengthen their skills. Supporting others in their learning journey is what makes his role at Mathnasium especially rewarding.
In his free time, Austin likes spending time with friends, going to the mall, and bowling. An interesting part of his academic journey is that he took Calculus I twice, once in high school and again in college, which deepened his understanding of the subject.
Ethan is a Mechanical Engineering student who enjoys playing video games and crunching numbers. His favorite math class was Differencial Equations. An interesting fact about Ethan is that he was the president of his high school math club and he has two pitbulls named Bo and Nala. Ethan enjoys working at Mathnasium because he enjoys seeing children using the techniques he taught them that they otherwise would not have learned outside Mathnasium.
Emma is a High School Junior who enjoys painting and play Marimba. When she goes to college, she plans on majoring in Illustration. Her favorite math class has been Algebra 2. Some interesting facts about her is that she has a dog named Lucky, and she has been band section leader for two years. Her favorite part about working at Mathnasium is that it is fun!
Nathan is a Junior at Dutchtown High School. When he goes to college, he will either pursue a degrre in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. His favorite math class so far is Pre-Calculus, but he cannot wait to take Calculus next year. For fun, Nathan enjoys doing 3D printing, robotics, building things, and binging hours of educational podcasts. An Interesting Fact About Nathan is that he has used his 3D printer to print a full Star Wars Clone Trooper costume. He also has a Brittany dog named Notch, and a cat named Bitsy. Why he says that he enjoys working at Mathnasium, "I could think of no better job for a math-loving high schooler. It was the opportunity to have a job teaching math that brought me to Mathnasium, but it is the connections with the kids and watching them grow and make connections that makes me really love it! "
Graham is a college Junior who is pursuing a degree in Mathematics. His favorite math class was high school Pre-Calculus. In his spare time, Graham enjoys doing puzzles, watching TV shows and YouTube videos, and spending time with his two cats, Ebony and Ivory. An interesting fact about Graham is that he used to solve Rubik's Cubes and variants of them. What he says about working at Mathnasium, "In high school, my classmates used to come to me all the time for help with their math homework, and I always enjoyed doing it. Naturally, this is why Mathnasium has always been fun for me to work at, I am passionate about helping others learn math."
Ava is a Junior at LSU studying Chemical Engineering. She enjoys to go thrifting and hangout with friends. She is also a music enthusiast! Outside of work, you can pretty much always find her with an earbud in. Her favorite math classes have been Calculus 1 (in high school) and Calculus 3. An interesting fact about Ava is that she was not the biggest fan of math until she took Algebra 1 in eighth grade and realized that she enjoyed doing math. When asked why she enjoys working at Mathnasium, she said,"One of the most rewarding parts of working at Mathnasium is getting to see the progress students make while going to the center! "
Joseph, or Joey as he likes to be called, is a High School Senior. When he goes to college, he wans to pursue Aerospace Engineering. For fun, Joey likes to do art, math, and play soccer. He really enjoys drawing! His favorite math class so far has been Algebra 2. Some interesting facts about Joey is that he has a cat named Willow, and he is originally from Zachary. The reason he likes working at Mathnasium is that he loves math and is able to teach it to other people so that maybe they’ll like it too.
Jason is a college Junior pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering. His favorite math class was Calculus 2. For fun, Jason plays video games. An interesting fact is that Jason used to wrestle on his high school's team. The main reason he likes to work at Mathnasium is becuase he likes helping people get better at math
Vivian was attending the University of Alabama towards a Computer Science degree before he relocated to Louisiana. Vivian enjoys reading fiction, cooking, and of course, coding. He enjoys working at Mathnasium because of the good people he gets to work with and working with the students here. An interesting fact about Vivian is that a few years ago, he got certified as a US sailing instructor. He is a cat person who enjoys spending time in Jackson, MS and is extremely passionate about Urban planning.
Adrianah is a senior at Dutchtown High school who plans to major in Mathematics when she goes to college. She plans to go to LSU next year and may concider teaching math after her Calculus teacher's recommendation. In her free time, Adrianah likes to draw art and portraits are her favorite to do. A fun fact for her is that Adrianah is on the color guarde at her school and wants to continue that when she goes to college next year. The reason she enjoys working at Mathnasium is that she enjoys helping kids succeed and also enjoys the environment! Her coworkers and the students are the reason she leaves with a smile on her face every single time!
Noah is a senior at Dutchtown High who loves math. His favorite math class so far has been Calculus. He plans on pursuing a degree in Statistics in college. He grew up in Gainsville, FL along with two sisters. A fun fact about Noah is that he is 6'2" and left handed. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball and video games. Noah enjoys working at Mathnasium because he feels that math is the best, so helping others get better at Math is super fun.
