Susan Kolozsvari

Susan Kolozsvari

Owner/Center Director
Susan has been with Mathnasium for more than four years. She has a deep mathematical background (MS, Physics Stanford University) that complements her long history of working with children. Over many years, Susan has served children in many forms: Co-op pre-school, elementary classroom volunteer, substitute teacher, soccer coach, Girl Scout Leader, Scouts BSA Scoutmaster. Mathnasium brings Susan’s many talents together to share her enthusiasm for math to the children of Hendricks county. Susan believes so strongly in the Mathnasium program that she decided to buy the Avon Center! Mathnasium is a life changing program for children, and Susan is excited to share it with you!

James

Assistant Center Director
James has been with Mathnasium for four years. He has a very strong math background, and is one of our strongest instructors with our high school math students. He also has incredible patience with our youngest students. James is an Eagle Scout and a former gymnast.

Andrea

Lead Instructor
Andrea has been with Mathnasium for two years. Andrea graduated from Cascade High School and is currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry at IU Bloomington. Andrea's strong math skills combine with her amazing teaching abilities combine to make her a great instructor.

Matthew

Instructor
Matthew is a Plainfield High School student. Matthew is fun loving and unfailingly kind. Our students know that they can trust Matthew, and he brings out their best work.

Brady

Instructor
Brady is currently attending college at Butler University. Brady has a quiet smile, that let's the students know that they can trust him. He is a strong addition to our team, connecting with our students, and helping them learn!

Jaap

Instructor
Jaap attends Avon High School. He is a former Mathnasium Student, and this experience is invaluable to his role as an instructor. Jaap is especially good at working with our younger students, and helping them think the "Mathnasium Way" about a topic!

Kennett

Instructor
Kennett is a student at TriWest High School. Kennett aspires to be a teacher after graduation. His true passion for teaching shines through, and his love of learning is obvious. Kennett is wonderful at engaging with any student and drawing out their best work!

Kendall

Instructor
Kendall is an undergraduate at UIndy. She is majoring in math education, and comes to us with a passion for learning, and a drive to become a fabulous teacher. Kendall has significant experience working with children both inside and outside the classroom. Kendall's quiet caring manner makes her a fabulous instructor!

Abdullah

Instructor
Abdullah is a current Avon High School student. He is a soccer player, with interests in math, computer programing, and engineering. Abdullah is a wonderful addition to our team!

Taiyo

Instructor
Taiyo is an Avon High School Student. Taiyo plans a career in finance, and loves math and puzzle solving. He is on the school tennis team and also plays basketball. Welcome to the team Taiyo!

Abi

Instructor
Abi comes to us from Nigeria. He is a full time research scientist, who works with our students in his spare time. He has lived in Avon for about three years. He is happily married with children in the Avon Schools.

Sydney

Instructor
Sydney is currently working on her Masters degree in teaching and will be doing student teaching in the fall. She played volleyball while an undergrad at Marian University. She loves cats and has a cat named Roger.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
