Mathnasium of Upper Marlboro is definitely the right fit for my daughter. Math has always been a struggle for her, however getting one on one tutoring has boosted her confidence in math. She is now not hesitate to go to tutoring, looks forward to it and gives more of an effort because now she does feel she is able to do it. Additionally, Katie and Ernie, are very personable, they get to know you and instantly build positive relationship. As a parent, it shows me that my daughter has others who are vested in her success. We have been using Mathnasium for several summers and now during the year. They help students with their homework, give that extra explanation that students need and provide a safe environment for students to concentrate on their work. The price point is good and your student gets some interaction with other students who need extra help too.

We've had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium Irving. The program is throughful, structured and truly tailored to each child's individual needs. The instructors are patient, encouraging and very skilled at explaining concepts in a way that actually made math so much less scary for my son Namir. My two kids enjoy Mathnasium a lot. They have tried other tutoring place nearby but they don’t seem to be able to keep going. They started coming to Mathnasium since last Summer and so far they still are able to stay motivated and look forward to the sessions. It is a lot less stress for parents to be able to have drop in sessions at any time when the center is open instead of having worried to schedule make up sessions when missing any. In addition, they found the work they do a lot more interesting than typical worksheets other tutoring centers offer. The staff are very encouraging and patient and positive. The learning environment is really clean and neat and the prizes display like the products at a gift shop, very motivational to students. They sometimes even offer snacks and water bottles to kids. No take home homework which is a game changer and completely stress free to parents.

My daughter was very skeptical about going to math. She said she didn’t like it but she needed extra help to get her grades up so I signed her up to Mathnasium . on the first day, She came home and asked to extend from one hour to two hours and now every single time she goes to Mathnasium she is very happy and eager to learn more math. This location is really great. Joy, the owner really cares about teaching the children. The teachers there are really great. He doesn’t always work with the same person but they are all patient and great at explaining new math concepts. My son loves math already and I wanted him to be challenged. They tested him first so that they need what areas of math they should focus on with him so it's not a cookie cutter, one size fits all lesson plan. He always looks forward to his classes here and is excited to come. As a mom I feel comfortable leaving him here because they provide a clean and safe environment for him to learn and expand his mind.

My granddaughter had a wonderful experience with Mathnasium this summer. We could see her confidence grow after every session. She enjoyed the one on one tutorial help with every instructor. I don't leave many reviews, but I am so impressed in the difference Mathnasium has made in my son's understanding and enjoyment of math, that I am confident in recommending their services. When I first started looking for math tutors I was skeptical that tutoring alongside other kids also receiving tutoring would help, because wouldn't that be too similar to school? But it turns out that it's perfect. My son enjoys being around the other kids receiving tutoring, and receives the right amount of help from the instructors, and even enjoys some friendly competition. The instructors and staff are courteous and professional. When my son started at Mathnasium he had received his first ever F and stated how much he hated math. Now, after 6 months of tutoring, he has an A and says that he loves math and it's his favorite subject. He also received a "Math Wizard" award at the end of the school year from his teacher for the most improved at math. Mathnasium's process really seems to work at establishing a foundation for the kids to better understand math, which in turn aids them in their schoolwork, and I'm pleased to recommend them.
