Laurel serves as the Center Director at Mathnasium and brings a strong background in education and leadership. She was born and raised in Jacksonville and holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice from the University of North Florida. She previously taught Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II for Duval County Public Schools and has been with Mathnasium since 2020.
She is passionate about helping students in her hometown succeed in math and grow in confidence. Outside the center, Laurel enjoys cooking, going to the beach, and traveling to new places.
Marcy brings more than 35 years of educational experience to her role at Mathnasium. Originally from Bergen County, New Jersey, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and two master’s degrees in Education and Administrative Leadership. She has taught middle school for over two decades and served as a school principal for 11 years.
Since moving to Jacksonville in 2020, Marcy has enjoyed supporting students at Mathnasium, where she finds joy in those “lightbulb” learning moments. Her love for education and leadership shines through in every student interaction.
Lauren holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Florida, with concentrations in Math Education and Psychology. Her academic background includes coursework in College Algebra through Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics. She has been with Mathnasium since 2011 and has a deep understanding of student learning needs.
She believes math should be challenging but never intimidating, and she’s passionate about helping students find both enjoyment and success in the subject. Lauren takes pride in mentoring instructors and inspiring students to build lasting confidence in math.
Jodi holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Math from Hope College, as well as a secondary teaching certificate. She also earned a master’s degree in Math Education and a specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College. She is also a certified gifted instructor.
With 20 years of teaching experience, Jodi has worked with students from eighth grade through IB Math Studies. She loves seeing students light up when they grasp difficult concepts and believes that every learner can succeed with the right tools, support, and encouragement.
