Thomas

Thomas

Instructor
Thomas is a student at PGCC, working towards an associate's degree in Math Education. He plans on transferring to UMD, College Park afterwards to work on a bachelor's in the same field. He is passionate about working at Mathnasium because he believes Math is one of many subjects that is too important to be falling behind in. His primary hobby is collecting and organizing Lego which mainly consists of Star Wars. He also play video games and listen to music when he is not organizing his collection. Thomas favorite number is 14 because it is the day in October which he was born.

Marcelo

Instructor
Marcelo is currently enrolled at the University of Maryland in College Park to earn his bachelor’s degree in information science. He is most passionate about helping the students because he wants them to be confident enough to do math on their own. Marcelo has been assisting friends and families in math for quite some time, and now he would like to take this opportunity to help others. One of Marcelo’s interests is solving puzzles. Some puzzles that he enjoys are Rubik’s Cubes, escape rooms, and math! The number 3 is Marcelo’s favorite because he is the third oldest out of 7 siblings!

Hello! I'm Sky and my hobbies include coding, playing volleyball and always looking for the best places to eat! I love the satisfaction after figuring out challenging math and coding problems too! I chose to work at Mathnasium so that I can try to spread that same excitement!

My name is Jordan and I have a Master’s degree in Child Development with a concentration in Administration. I have been in the field of child development for about 13 years. I love to hangout with family and friends in my spare time. I also love to read books and watch Netflix when I get the chance. My favorite color is purple. I want to help children learn how to love Math just as I did growing up in school. I want to teach children there are multiple ways to solve math problems, how to make math fun and how to solve problems mentally. I am excited to start this journey with Mathnasium.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
