Josh and Kimmy Cannon are the Owners and Center Directors at Mathnasium. Their math journey began together in high school, where they supported each other through Mrs. Johnson's Algebra 2. Today, they share a passion for helping students build confidence and success in math.
Josh holds a BS in Architectural Engineering and a MS in Engineering and discovered his love for teaching after working as a design engineer. Kimmy holds BAs in English and Communication and a MA in English. She values building positive, joyful connections with students and families through Mathnasium.
I’ve made fond math memories in tutoring labs, graduating from Benicia High and then UC San Diego.
In that time, I’ve learned math is practical for kids’ everyday problem-solving, debt-free living, and even early investing.

I’m Mason Falahat, a medical student and math tutor passionate about helping students build confidence and mastery in mathematics. With many years of tutoring under my belt, I've found Mathnasium strategies are the best way to strengthen number sense, problem-solving skills, and overall math fluency. My goal is to help learners feel confident tackling any math challenge while building a strong foundation for long-term success. I enjoy creating a supportive and engaging environment where curiosity and persistence lead to growth. Outside of tutoring, I stay active with running, weightlifting, and DJing.
Hi! I'm Matthew, an instructor at Mathnasium Benicia. I've always loved everything to do with math, especially helping others learn it! So, I plan on teaching once I complete my undergrad (and Master's) at California State University - Sacramento.
Hello everyone! I am Maya and I am ecstatic to be a part of the Mathnasium team in Benicia! As a Mechanical Engineering student, I truly value having a supportive environment to learn in. I am a huge fan of the Mathnasium curriculum and the environment created for students!
I'm currently a Junior at Benicia High School and taking Integrated Math III. Math has always been something that interested me and I love that I get the opportunity to help our students to enjoy math as well! On the side, I also play softball as well as some guitar too!
