Tomas is passionate about advanced math, especially complex and real analysis. His favorite thing about Mathnasium is simply “doing math” and you’ll often find him brushing up or learning new topics during downtime. He describes himself as humble, broad-minded, and adaptable, and lives by the motto, “Math is hard. So is life. Get over it!”
Tomas plans to pursue a career as an actuary or cryptographer. He loves the number i, the square root of –1, because of the fascinating things it unlocks in math. His advice to students: If you fail, learn from it!
James finds great satisfaction in helping students grasp math concepts and experience those “aha” moments. His favorite type of math is Algebra, and he brings a steady, encouraging presence to the center. As a child, he dreamed of being Donatello—the Ninja Turtle—and still appreciates the joy of learning and problem-solving.
In his free time, James enjoys reading, sleeping, and playing ice hockey—yes, he’s surprisingly good at it! He has visited Germany and would love to return. If he could choose a superpower, it would be invisibility—ideal for the hockey rink and beyond.
Grace is both a student and a new instructor at Mathnasium, bringing firsthand experience with the Mathnasium Method to her role. She lives by the motto, “Whatever you are, be a good one,” and encourages students not to be afraid of trying new things.
A black belt in karate, Grace has already accomplished big goals, including recording a CD. She’s excited to continue growing as an instructor and would love to meet Larry, the founder of Mathnasium, one day. Her enthusiasm and positivity make her a great addition to the team.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

Are you interested in changing lives through math? We're looking for outstanding individuals with a high level of commitment who are passionate about teaching math. Find out if there's a Mathnasium position that's just right for you!
