Summer can be unpredictable—vacations, camps, family visits, or just the logistics of having more than one kid at home. That’s where Mathnasium@Home really shines.
It’s the same expert instruction, personalized learning plans, and proven Mathnasium Method™—just delivered in a convenient, interactive online format.
Whether your child is traveling with grandparents, at home after camp, or on a different summer schedule each week, Mathnasium@Home offers the flexibility to keep learning consistent.
Online instruction is available Monday through Thursday from 3:30–7:30 PM, giving families plenty of options to fit learning around summer fun.
Research shows that online learning, when done well, is just as effective as in-person instruction. In fact, a 2021 study by the Journal of Online Learning found that student outcomes improved when learners had access to personalized instruction and a distraction-free environment—two things Mathnasium@Home does exceptionally well.
Real-time instruction with a trained Mathnasium educator

Flexibility to learn from anywhere—even on vacation
Familiar faces and routines that build consistency and confidence

1. Create a dedicated learning space
It doesn’t need to be a separate room—just a spot with minimal distractions, good lighting, and all the supplies your child needs (pencil, paper, scratch pad, etc.). No TV in the background and preferably not in bed.
2. Set a regular schedule
Pick two or three consistent days each week during our online hours (Monday–Thursday, 3:30–7:30 PM). A late afternoon session before dinner or after day camp works well for many families.
3. Keep tech simple and ready
Use a laptop or desktop with a stable internet connection. Headphones help reduce distractions, especially in a busy household. Make sure your child knows how to log in independently if possible.
4. Be nearby, but not overbearing
Let your child take ownership of the session—but be close enough to troubleshoot if tech issues pop up or a reminder to focus is needed. Think of yourself as support staff, not the teacher.
5. Celebrate wins and track progress
Many students benefit from small celebrations after each session—sticker charts, a snack, or sharing what they worked on with a parent. Keep it positive and encouraging.

The road-tripping family: A student logged in from hotels during a cross-country road trip. With consistent sessions and headphones, he stayed on track—while still enjoying summer adventures.
The camp-and-cousins crew: One family scheduled Mathnasium@Home in the early evenings after camp and before dinner, making it part of the wind-down routine.
The teen with a summer job: She scheduled two sessions a week on her days off and completed them from the quiet corner of her family’s den.
Mathnasium@Home isn’t just a substitute for in-center learning—it’s a full-service experience designed for busy families. And when paired with a few simple home strategies, it’s a powerful way to make math progress during the summer without sacrificing flexibility or fun.
