Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Assistant Center Director
Danthen is a senior studying Mathematics at the University of Cincinnati. He loves playing sports and video games, and building home projects. In five years Danthen plans on completing his Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering after a couple year working break between schooling.

Lead Instructor
Allison is a native of Blue Ash, where she attended Ursuline Academy before earning a BA in linguistics from the Ohio State University. Her favorite math to teach is multiplication facts and factors, but you should also ask her about color-coding Pascal’s triangle. Outside of teaching at Mathnasium, she knits, crochets, plays with her dogs Kora (pictured), Addie, and Mellie, and reads too many books.

Calista is a junior at Sycamore High School. She enjoys playing tennis, high jumping, and playing viola. Calista also likes being outside and doing puzzles. In five years, Calista hopes to be in college studying environmental engineering so she can combine her interest in math and science with her passion for helping the environment.

Sophia is a sophomore at Leaves of Learning and CAFE. She has been playing violin since the age of 5 and also enjoys baking, horse-back riding, and school. She will be studying calculus and physics this year. In five years Sophia hopes to pursue her love of mathematics and music when she goes to college.

Benedict (or Ben) is a senior at Sycamore High School. He enjoys playing piano and viola, especially in an orchestra. Ben also enjoys rewatching The Lord of the Rings with his dad and building nesting boxes for birds. He hopes to pursue a degree in chemical engineering where he can use math and science to make cool things or aid in environmental efforts (or both!).

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
