Sara McClung

Assistant Center Director
Sara is a Boerne, Texas native and graduated from Samuel V. Champion High School in 2020. She currently attends American Public University, majoring in accounting. Sara has been working at the center since August of 2020, and soon after became our Assistant Center Director. She enjoys working at Mathnasium of Boerne with other like-minded, student-centered individuals and is motivated by the success of her students each session! Favorite Number: 17, because it's for the Dancing Queens. Favorite Math Joke: Why can't a nose be 12 inches? Because then it would be a foot!

Madison Lowe

Originally from Florida, Madi is currently studying full-time at the University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in Education with a concentration in Grades 4-8 Language Arts/Reading/Social Studies. In 2020, she graduated from Samuel V. Champion High School and soon after joined the Mathnasium of Boerne team. She loves that she gets to gain more experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds here at the center; Providing students with the skills needed to do whatever they set their mind to in positive, empowering, and fun ways is her passion! Favorite Number: 3, because it's the first odd prime number! Favorite Math Joke: Why should you never start a conversation with pi? Because she will go on and on and on...

James Johnson

James has been an essential part of our team since 2012! Moving to Boerne, Texas when he was in the 3rd grade, he was a member of the second ever graduating class of Samuel V. Champion High School. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Education from Schreiner University. He enjoys changing lives through math by helping students realize the relevance and importance of mathematical concepts - not just mechanical solution steps. Favorite Number: 42, because "it is the answer to all things". Favorite Math Joke: I don't know why my teacher keeps asking me to find their x...

Keely Ramirez

Joining our team in June of 2021, Keely loves interacting with students to create a welcoming environment for learning math skills. Being from Houston, Texas, she completed her Associate of Science at Lone Star College. She then went on to graduate from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor's in Mathematics 2021. Keely is once again attending UTSA, this time seeking a Masters in Mathematics Education! Keely loves working at our center because it's a fun way to teach math in a non-traditional style that encourages students to build their confidence and continue asking questions. Favorite Number: 5040, because its divisible by numbers 1-10. Favorite Math Joke: Why did pi get its driver's license revoked? Because it didn't know when to stop!

Hannah Tabet

Hannah has lived in Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas her entire life. After graduating from Samuel V. Champion High School in 2020, she now attends the University of Texas at San Antonio as a Mathematics major. Hannah joined the Mathnasium of Boerne team in June of 2021, and loves getting to apply what she's learning as a full-time college student towards helping students. In her eyes, getting to make a meaningful difference in so many students' lives, mathematically or otherwise, is an awesome experience. Favorite Number: Hannah is currently taking suggestions for what her favorite number should be... Favorite Math Joke: Mr. James is turning 31 this year... he's really hitting his prime!

Noah Endermann

Originally from San Diego, California, Noah graduated from the University of San Diego with a major in Chemistry. He soon after moved to Fair Oaks Ranch and joined our team in September of 2018. Noah believes that teaching kids math is really just "learning to think, which is what math is really all about". For Noah, interacting with students in a meaningful and educational way is the most rewarding part of the job. Favorite Number: e, because it's awesome! Favorite Math Joke: A horse walks into a bar. The bartender asks the horse if it likes is an enthusiast of apples, to which the horse replies "I don’t think I am” POOF! The horse disappears. This is the point in time when all the philosophy students begin to giggle, as they are familiar with the philosophical proposition of Cogito ergo sum, or I think, therefore, I am. But to explain the concept first would be putting Descartes before the horse.

Emily Gandy

Hailing from Midland, Texas, Emily now lives in San Antonio and majors in Mathematics of Data and Computing at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Emily joined the team in October of 2021 and ever since has loved getting to know each and every student while teaching them fundamental math skills. Emily finds it most rewarding when she's able to walk students through complicated math problems. Favorite Number: 13, the best unlucky lucky number. Favorite Math Joke: What is a math teacher's favorite kind of tree? A geometry!

Caleb Black

Caleb has resided in the Boerne and Leon Springs area for most of his life, but was born in College Station. Recently graduating from Samuel V. Champion High School as part of the Class of 2022, Caleb has now joined the Mathnasium of Boerne team as a college student at San Antonio College majoring in Engineering. He loves contributing his skills to the center because getting the opportunity to see students grasp concepts they never thought were possible for them is incredibly rewarding. It also doesn't hurt that math happens to be his favorite subject! Favorite Number: 14, because it's his shoe size. Favorite Math Joke: Why was 6 afraid of 7? Cuz 7 8 9!
