Tyler holds a degree in Kinesiology with Bio and Chem from Arizona State University and the University of Utah (Class of 2018). He’s currently a licensed pilot in training at FLT Academy and has a passion for adventure, having trekked to Mt. Everest basecamp, run a marathon, and traveled to 10 countries.
He’s worked in ski patrol, search and rescue, and with kids with disabilities at UFit. His love for helping students began when a professor mentored him through a tough physics class, and now he’s committed to providing that same encouragement at Mathnasium.
Liz is a senior at the University of Utah studying Mathematics and a huge fan of Calculus, Algebra, and Number Theory. She’s spent the last 8+ years teaching kids everything from math to golf, tennis, basketball, and swimming.
Outside of Mathnasium, Liz loves skiing, snowboarding, and cheering on the Utah Utes and Jazz. She’s excited to combine her love of math and teaching at Mathnasium, especially witnessing students’ “aha!” moments when concepts finally click.
Reed holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from BYU and an MBA from Boise State. He spent over 25 years in engineering and operations leadership at companies like HP and Iomega before launching his own software business.
He’s passionate about helping kids build confidence in math and preparing them for success in technology, finance, science, and beyond. Reed serves on the Governor’s Technology Initiative Advisory Board and remains committed to expanding STEM education in Utah.
Clint holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and spent 16+ years in marketing and advertising before joining Mathnasium. He’s passionate about helping students build math confidence and realize their potential.
Clint lives in Utah with his wife and three kids. He enjoys hiking, canyoneering, skiing, and cheering on Utah football. Fun fact: he summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, which stands at 19,341 feet!
Abby is a senior at the University of Utah pursuing a degree in Mathematics. She’s taken courses ranging from Algebra to Differential Equations and loves Calculus most of all.
With experience tutoring privately, working in elementary schools, and serving as a Learning Assistant at the U, Abby loves helping students gain confidence in math. She speaks Spanish, is learning Korean, and enjoys reading and trying new restaurants in her free time.
I've been a year ahead in math ever since 7th grade, and I've also taken Physics and college level Chemistry. I've been a Sophomore Spirit Class Officer at my high school, along with participating in District Band, All-State Choir, and performing in musicals. I have also been volunteering to teach kids ages 6-14 music for musicals, along with tutoring my peers in Math. I've recently gotten into writing music, both classical and Singer-Songwriter. I also love spending time with friends and family, especially the good old video games with the boys.
Fun Fact: My middle name is Nofear.
Favorite Number, why?: 7, representing completion.
Education: I'm currently attending Viewmont High School as a Sophomore, graduating in 2025.
Why I love Mathnasium: Mathnasium has two of the things which I love and I'm good at: Math and Teaching. I'd also like to reduce the hate for math, and potentially help kids see math through a different perspective.
I’ve taken everything up to secondary two math (10th grade math) and am currently taking secondary three (11th grade math). I play lacrosse for the woods cross high team and am currently a president of the Spanish club. I’m a member of bountiful city youth council and national honor society. I've also worked with kids in babysitting roles and as a volunteer in orphanages for two weeks while on a trip to Ecuador. I love to play piano and read in my free time.
Fun Fact: A fun fact about me is that I’ve been to 8 countries.
Favorite Number, why?: My favorite number is phi, I just think it’s so cool that one number can be associated with so much of the natural world!
Education: I go to school at Woods Cross High School and am currently in 10th grade.
Why I love Mathnasium: I like Mathnasium because the environment of everyone there is an amazing place to learn math. It’s not very often that you see kids so excited to learn!
I've taken honors math my entire life and I'm currently in honors math at Farmington High school. I love soccer and basketball, and I'm also a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I've tutored peers, siblings, and neighbors privately in a variety of subjects including math. I love to play soccer and basketball. I also love to play Saxophone.
Fun Fact: I have a Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do
Favorite Number, why?: My favorite number is 27 because that's my uniform number for sports and I was born on the 27th of August.
Education: I am soon to be a Junior at Farmington High School.
Why I love Mathnasium: I get to hang out with a bunch of cool kids and do math!
I’ve taken both AP calculus based physics and AP BC calc. I’ve loved both of them. I participate in track and field as a thrower. I throw shot put and disc. I’m also in a couple of choir classes. I love to design and sew dresses. I also play the piano and guitar.
Fun Fact: I have double jointed thumbs!
Favorite Number, why?: 11 because it is the first double digit prime number and it’s parallel.
Education: I’m a senior at Viewmont High School and will be graduating in 2025.
Why I love Mathnasium: I can have fun with numbers outside of school.
I have taken math classes up to calculus 2 at the University of Utah and will be taking calculus 3 in the fall. In high school, I participated in the robotics club and I enjoy 3d printing models and have been learning to make 3d models.
Fun Fact: I enjoy exploring and collecting rocks such as expeditions to Topaz Mountain
Favorite Number, why?: pi 3.14 is my favorite number, my family has always celebrated march 14 as pie day.
Education: I am a geophysics major at the University of Utah and have been studying there for 3 years
Why I love Mathnasium: I enjoy helping people and I enjoy math, here I can do both
I've taken up to Secondary Math 2 (10th grade math) and am currently taking Secondary Math 3 (11th grade math) at Woods Cross High School. I am a Theatre student council officer at Woods Cross High and am a part of HOSA. I've competed three times in the Utah State Math competition, placing in the top 25% of the state one year. I have helped teach kids musical theatre and taekwondo and I have two little siblings. I'm always the first one my friends call for help with math! I've been performing in musical theatre for around 7 years! I love to sing, dance and act, both at my high school and at community theatres!
Fun Fact: I was the student body president at LPA last year

Why I love Mathnasium: I love the opportunity to teach kids math and creating a love for math just like mine!
I have taken Honors Secondary Math 2&3 and AP Calculus BC (passed with a 5). I am involved with Varsity Tennis, Varsity Pickleball and I'm fluent in Chinese. I love to do art, specifically water colors. I also love watching movies and spending time with my family.
Fun Fact: I love riding horses.
Education: I'm a senior at Viewmont High School.

Why I love Mathnasium: I am so excited to work with students and make a difference in their lives. It makes me so happy to see them understand difficult concepts.
I attended High School (NUAMES) and took up through Calculus AB. At College (University of Utah) - up through Foundations of Analysis I (MATH 3210). I was involved in Weber State University - Arts and Sciences in the Park. I love playing the piano and guitar. I like hiking and longboarding along the river trails. I also enjoy playing chess.
Fun Fact: I completed a 3-day backpacking trip to hike/climb Kings Peak, the highest point in Utah.
Favorite Number, Why?: 7 - because it's got a nice balance of mathematical uniqueness and it shows up in all kinds of places.
Education: Graduated from the University of Utah in August 2022 with a BS in Electrical Engineering.
Why I like Mathnasium: I like it because it allows me to help students build confidence in a subject that many find challenging. Being able to help someone understand a topic, when something finally clicks, is incredibly rewarding. Math is all about problem-solving and logical thinking, skills that are valuable beyond the classroom.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
