I have taken 3 levels of calculus, linear algebra, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics, analytics mathematics, coding in mathematics, abstract algebra, advanced calculus, and topology. I was the President of the Society of Physics Students in college. I have 7 years of experience tutoring physics and math. 4 of those years were at Salt Lake Community College. I enjoy hiking through Utah’s beautiful mountains, playing video games (Stardew Valley is my favorite), and mostly anything related to math!
Fun Fact: I want to visit every national park in the United States, so far I have been to 22/63

Why I Like Mathnasium: Math is so much more than understanding the concepts, it’s about confidence! Mathnasium teaches students to be confident, and the math skills with come with ease.
Liz has been with Mathnasium for five years, starting as a Center Director and now serving as a Regional Director. She is passionate about creating fun, welcoming learning environments where students feel excited to learn math and build confidence through personalized instruction. Liz has spent most of her life working with children through math instruction, sports coaching, swim lessons, and summer camps.
Liz believes success in math starts with confidence and perseverance, and she loves watching students grow from feeling discouraged to believing in themselves. Outside of Mathnasium, Liz enjoys cheering on the Utah Utes, watching sports, spending time with her husband and daughter, reading, skiing, snowboarding, and golfing.
Reed holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from BYU and an MBA from Boise State. He spent over 25 years in engineering and operations leadership at companies like HP and Iomega before launching his own software business.
He’s passionate about helping kids build confidence in math and preparing them for success in technology, finance, science, and beyond. Reed serves on the Governor’s Technology Initiative Advisory Board and remains committed to expanding STEM education in Utah.
Clint holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah and spent 16+ years in marketing and advertising before joining Mathnasium. He’s passionate about helping students build math confidence and realize their potential.
Clint lives in Utah with his wife and three kids. He enjoys hiking, canyoneering, skiing, and cheering on Utah football. Fun fact: he summited Mt. Kilimanjaro, which stands at 19,341 feet!
Abby is a senior at the University of Utah pursuing a degree in Mathematics. She’s taken courses ranging from Algebra to Differential Equations and loves Calculus most of all.
With experience tutoring privately, working in elementary schools, and serving as a Learning Assistant at the U, Abby loves helping students gain confidence in math. She speaks Spanish, is learning Korean, and enjoys reading and trying new restaurants in her free time.
I have taken Calculus I-III, Differential Equations, Partial Differential Equations, Applied Complex Variable, Foundations of Analysis I-II, Numerical Analysis I-II, Applied Statistics, Linear Algebra, Electromagnetic Methods, Inversion Theory, and Intro to Number Theory. In high school, I was in Key Club, Baking Club, and Cancer Awareness Club. In College, I was apart of a Fraternity where we held philanthropy events each semester for whichever foundations we chose to support. Throughout high school and college, I would tutor all of my friends in math, mainly calculus, and earlier this year I got to teach my own lab at the University of Utah where I helped students understand key concepts in their math class. I love to bake, as it was a trait I got from my grandmother who wrote multiple cook/baking books. I also enjoy working out and running as of recent. All my life, I have been a huge fan of sports, so I spend a lot of time watching each of the four major sports.
Fun Fact: I can name each countries flag
Favorite Number, Why?: 52, since it was the first number I wore when I played football.
Education: I went to school at the University of Utah, where I graduated in May of 2025, with a major in Applied Mathematics and Geophysics.
Why I Like Mathnasium: I love math!
I have taken math classes up to calculus 2 at the University of Utah and will be taking calculus 3 in the fall. In high school, I participated in the robotics club and I enjoy 3d printing models and have been learning to make 3d models.
Fun Fact: I enjoy exploring and collecting rocks such as expeditions to Topaz Mountain
Favorite Number, why?: pi 3.14 is my favorite number, my family has always celebrated march 14 as pie day.
Education: I am a geophysics major at the University of Utah and have been studying there for 3 years
Why I love Mathnasium: I enjoy helping people and I enjoy math, here I can do both
I've taken up to Secondary Math 2 (10th grade math) and am currently taking Secondary Math 3 (11th grade math) at Woods Cross High School. I am a Theatre student council officer at Woods Cross High and am a part of HOSA. I've competed three times in the Utah State Math competition, placing in the top 25% of the state one year. I have helped teach kids musical theatre and taekwondo and I have two little siblings. I'm always the first one my friends call for help with math! I've been performing in musical theatre for around 7 years! I love to sing, dance and act, both at my high school and at community theatres!
Fun Fact: I was the student body president at LPA last year
Education: I attend Woods Cross High School, I am a Sophomore, I graduate in 2027
Favorite Number, Why?: Pi. It is one of the most useful numbers and will haunt you through all of math
Why I love Mathnasium: I love the opportunity to teach kids math and creating a love for math just like mine!
I've taken AP Calculus AB, Calculus 2 and 3, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis 1 and 2, Actuarial Math, Probability, etc... I have a Bachelors in applied math from the University of Utah, and received a 5 on the AP Calc test. I wakesurf, waterskii, wakeboard, mountain bike, and sing.
Fun Fact: I am taking the prerequisite physics classes at the U to pursue a physics phd.
Favorite Number, Why?: I can't remember why, but 8 has been my favorite number since I was a young boy.
Education: I graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors in applied math last year.
Why I Like Mathnasium: I am passionate about mathematics and enjoy helping others see the beauty in it.
I have completed high school math classes up to Honors Secondary Math 3 (the equivalent of 11th grade math). In addition, I have taken specialized year long courses in pre-algebra and algebra 1 intensified in Virginia. At school I am a part of the French and JustServe club. I also have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout Jr. High and High school. I have been an academic and peer tutor, and I always lend a hand to friends who need help with math! I play on two different basketball teams and love to watercolor.
Fun Fact: I lived in Paris for a few years.
Favorite Number, Why?: 22, it is on my basketball jersey!
Education: I attend Woodscross high school and will graduate in 2028.
Why I Like Mathnasium: I love helping make math “click”. It is so much fun once you understand the process!
I am currently in Honors Secondary 3 Math. I'm in National Honors Society, I'm also on the Woods Cross Girls Soccer Team. I help all my friends with math and I have 3 younger siblings I help. I love soccer, skiing, boating, and hanging out with my friends.
Fun Fact: I got Player of the Year out of Utah Avalanche Soccer Club in 2022.
Favorite Number, Why?: 10, It was my first number in competitive soccer.
Education: I go to Woods Cross High School and will graduate in 2028.
Why I Like Mathnasium: Math is fun for me and helping people feel more confident with it is a fun feeling.
