For Elizabeth, the most rewarding moments come when students realize they are capable of more than they ever thought possible. That is the heart of her work: helping children build confidence, close learning gaps, and discover that math can truly make sense.
Elizabeth earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She spent years in engineering roles at IBM, Baxter International, and CVS/Caremark, then in Financial Crimes at JPMorgan Chase, Citi, and PwC. Those careers reinforced what she now sees every day at the center—that number sense, clear thinking, and the ability to work through a problem step by step open doors far beyond the classroom.
She likes to see her students have fun with math. When she is not in the middle of operations, she is often on the floor playing math games. She wants every child who walks in to feel welcome, safe, and like an extension of home—a place where instructors teach for understanding, meet students where they are, and help them catch up, keep up, or get ahead through the Mathnasium Method™ and a customized learning plan.
Math has always been personal for Elizabeth. She has a daughter in her final year at the University of South Florida, combining Data Science and Analytics with Biomedical Sciences as she prepares for medical school. She has a son in USF’s 7-year B.S./M.D. accelerated program. And she has an eighth grader who spent several years learning at home so he could build a strong foundation at his own pace; he is now back in school and taking Honors Algebra. She is proud of the work they put in. Those years made it clear how much difference it makes when foundational skills are strong and students get the right support—and how face-to-face instruction can change a student’s attitude toward math.
Besides being a mother, Elizabeth enjoys traveling with her husband and confidant, Sam, a Technology Director. She is also known—at least among family and friends—as a master chef in the kitchen. She loves her church and looks for any way she can volunteer. A competitor at heart, she's doesn't hold back during board games and trivia with family and friends.
Under Elizabeth’s leadership, the center is a trusted place for families who want math to feel approachable and empowering. She is at her happiest when a student who once felt stuck sits down to a game, works through a problem they used to avoid, and walks out believing they can do more.
As the Center Director and face of the Mathnasium of Brandon Town Center, Sankeerth wants every family who walks into Mathnasium of Brandon Town Center to feel welcomed—and hopeful. Soft-spoken, mild-mannered, and always reachable, he would rather let the quality of the Mathnasium Method™ and his instructors speak than push a program. Sankeerth(San-key-irth) means collective praise, and that is how he leads: the team gets the credit when a child succeeds. If a student leaves knowing math can make sense, that is the win. If a parent has a question at 9 p.m., they can call, text, or email him. Anyone. Anytime.
Sankeerth grew up in Brandon and knows this community—Brandon, Valrico, Seffner, and the Greater Tampa Bay neighborhoods around them. That local root is not a slogan. It is why he treats the center like an extension of home: a math-only learning center where K–12 students of all skill levels can catch up, keep up, or get ahead, and where parents get the best out of the program.
He majored in Psychology at the University of South Florida and is pursuing a master’s in Higher Education, building his understanding of student development, educational leadership, and how learning environments actually work. That psychology background shows on the floor. He reads when a student is anxious, when number sense is missing, when a learning gap is hiding under “I’m just bad at math.” He does not rush. He meets students where they are.
Before becoming Center Director, Sankeerth spent years as a lead tutor at Kumon and as an after-school instructor. He knows what engagement looks like when a child is tired after school. He still trains students in chess at Brandon Academy after school—patience, planning, and problem-solving that carry straight into math. He also belongs to the National Society of Leadership and Success, which sharpened the way he leads instructors, sets goals, and talks with families.
That same leadership shapes the center. Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment that identifies strengths and skill gaps, then a customized learning plan that takes them from where they are to where they need to go. Instruction is face-to-face, in-center or online, taught for understanding. Instructors certified in the Mathnasium Method™ build number sense, close learning gaps, and help students master concepts at their own pace—with homework help part of the session. Sankeerth trains and motivates that team, listens to parents, and does not hard-sell. He believes the work should sell itself: a child who feared math starting to enjoy it, a student who was behind beginning to keep up, an advanced student getting ahead because someone finally challenged them the right way.
Outside the center he enjoys basketball—and he is a devoted 49ers fan in a sea of Tampa Bay Bucs fans, which takes a certain kind of loyalty. Inside the center, he is the person families can reach without a script. Mathnasium of Brandon Town Center exists so students unlock their math potential—and so every family who trusts us with that work feels they made the right call.

The best moments with Allan are the quiet ones: a student who felt stuck finally gets it, sits a little taller, and walks out believing they can do more. That is why kids look for him on the floor. He cares about the student who is still wrestling with fractions just as much as the one ready for advanced calculus—and it shows.
Allan knows that feeling from both sides of the table. He was a Mathnasium student first. He loved going, and he always wanted to become an instructor. Now he is one.
He is a freshman at the University of South Florida in the Judy Genshaft Honors College and the 7-Year B.S./M.D. Accelerated Program. Strong high school work—especially in math—helped him earn that seat. At Strawberry Crest High School, an IB World School, he earned the IB Diploma Programme and completed advanced math and science as part of that diploma path. That kind of coursework taught him how to build number sense, close learning gaps, and keep stretching when the material gets hard.
He is just as steady with fundamental concepts as he is with higher-level work. He meets students where they are, teaches for understanding, and helps math make sense without making anyone feel small. New instructors look to him too—he mentors them in the Mathnasium Method™ and in that same patient approach.
Allan leads with the same heart outside the center. He placed first in the state for HOSA more than once. He is passionate about helping children with cancer through Dance Marathon, first at Strawberry Crest High School and now at USF, supporting Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. He plays volleyball, loves to sing and play piano, and sings in his church choir.
When Allan is in the building, students know someone is in their corner—whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get ahead.
Brenda is the instructor you can almost always find at the center—and students notice. A senior in the IB program at Strawberry Crest High School, she is originally from Camagüey, Cuba, and brings both strong academic training and a global perspective to every session.
Years in Mu Alpha Theta taught her what hard work in math looks like. She has represented her school at the state and national level, and she uses that same drive on the floor: helping students build number sense, close learning gaps, and see that math can make sense when someone takes the time to meet them where they are.
Brenda has a natural gift for motivating kids and making them feel at ease. Her approachable style and advanced math skills create a fun, encouraging space where students enjoy learning, make real progress, and leave a little more confident than when they walked in.
Dharvi is a sophomore at the University of South Florida majoring in Biomedical Sciences. A recent graduate of the Strawberry Crest IB program, she completed AP Pre-Calculus and AP Calculus and brings that same love of clear, step-by-step thinking to every session.
Before joining Mathnasium, Dharvi tutored children in math and reading. She enjoys helping students build confidence, work through problems they once found intimidating, and see that math can actually make sense. Families quickly notice how patient she is on the floor and how naturally she explains ideas so kids leave feeling capable.
In her free time, she goes to the gym, cooks, and dances with the USF Bulls Bhangra Team.
Sepp majored in Creative Writing and the instructor families know they can rely on. Calm and cool on the floor, he helps students work through problems at their own pace and leaves them feeling more confident than when they sat down.
Sepp first taught at Mathnasium of Trinity before joining Mathnasium of Brandon Town Center. That experience prepared him to work with students of all ages—whether they need to catch up, keep up, or get a little extra challenge. He has a gift for explaining ideas so math starts to make sense, and our team is grateful to have him.
Amanda holds degrees in Mathematics and Education from the University of Central Florida and is a high school math teacher at Bell Creek Academy, where she also serves as head of the Math Department. She teaches Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Statistics, and she brings that same clear, patient approach to Mathnasium.
She meets students where they are—helping them build confidence, work through challenging concepts, and see that math can make sense with the right support. Outside the center, she is passionate about drama. She sponsors the Drama Club at Bell Creek and acts in plays seasonally.
Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
