Colleen Whitehouse

Center Director

My name is Colleen Whitehouse, and I am the Center Director at Mathnasium of Brandon West. Each day, I make it my goal to ensure that students have an effective, engaging, and encouraging learning experience that cultivates an intuitive understanding of math. I do this by selecting highly trained instructors who are passionate about math, maintain the best environment for learning and always stay positive. At Mathnasium, we offer the tools to help young learners improve critical math skills and understanding, regardless of their current ability level. Jeff

Lead Instructor

Jeff graduated from George Jenkins High School with a 4.3 GPA. Throughout his high school career he led several clubs such as the Co-Captain of the Academic Team and the Treasurer of the Technology Student Association. Jeff has had a job for the majority of his high school and college years, that give him customer service skills, real world mathematics applications, and proper etiquette when addressing students and parents. Since his graduation he has studied at the University of South Florida to get his bachelor's degree in accounting and is currently a junior. His experience has helped us enhance and maintain the learning center.

Ron

Lead Instructor

Ron recently graduated Middleton High School with Honors as well as receiving his AA at Hillsborough Community College. Ron has taken several advanced mathematical courses scoring nearly a perfect score on the math portion of his SAT. He has received several awards through the Future Business Leaders of America as well as future health professionals. In his free time, he enjoys playing basketball with his friends and coding his own projects.

Antonella

Instructor

Antonella was born in Naples, Italy and is currently a Junior in the IB program at Strawberry Crest. She has continuously worked with younger children throughout her Middle & High School years. Prior to Mathnasium, she was a Recreational Leader at the Plant City Parks & Recreation helping develop their skills in a multi-faceted fashion. She has been a wonderful addition to our team, using her advanced math skills and personable demeanor to motivate the younger students here at the Learning Center to increase their math know-how and make math more fun and enjoyable.

Francesca

Instructor

Francesca graduated from Winthrop College Preparatory Academy as well as receiving her AA degree from Hillsborough Community College in Spring of 2024. She has demonstrated significant leadership skills through her presidency of the Computer Science Club and has built her customer service skills through hostessing at a local sushi & hibachi restaurant. She has high mathematical competency, using algebra, arithmetic, and problem-solving heavily while coding in her spare time.

Our Mathnasium Mission

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
