Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Haley Barrett

Instructor
Haley has a gift for making math more accessible and less intimidating. As a student, Haley overcame her own learning disability - dyslexia - to become a stellar student in math and science. She listens attentively to the challenges her students are facing and teaches them math in ways that make sense to them. Our students appreciate the empathy and encouragement she brings to her lessons. Haley is also a competitive softball player at Mill Creek High School and is currently taking AP Calculus AB. How does she balance athletics, academics, and a part-time job? We don't know, but we are lucky she makes time to teach at Mathnasium.

Jordan Luster

Assistant Center Director
Jordan is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Bachelor's Degree in Math Education. Jordan has more than three years of experience as a Mathnasium instructor and is excited to bring his expertise back to his hometown of Flowery Branch. His hobbies include tabletop gaming, comic books, movies, and, of course, mathematics. Jordan believes there's always room to learn and grow at any level; he hopes to instill a similar mindset in each of his students. He's also plenty of fun at parties until he inevitably starts ranting about prime numbers.

Connor Kelly

Instructor
Connor is a Full-Diploma IB senior at Johnson High School taking Math Analysis. He's a member of NHS and Mu Alpha Theta (Math Honors Society) and founder of his school's STEM Club. He grew up helping his little brother and friends with their math work, and he loves celebrating his students' progress and achievements. He takes great care in breaking things down step-by-step to promote full understanding of each topic he teaches. While he's still deciding which college to attend, he knows he wants to study engineering. Connor is also closely involved in his school's theatre department. Is he the best chess player at Mathnasium? That's yet to be determined.

Noor Ali

Instructor
Noor is a Junior at the Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology. She has been with Mathnasium for over 4 years now. After doing exceptionally in AP Pre-Calculus, she is now taking AP statistics and college Algebra at Gwinnett Technical College. She received a perfect score on the math section of the SAT. Noor is dedicated to the success of the students at Mathnasium and loves discussing their passions with them. Noor has played professional tennis for 9 years and loves the sport. She is a member of student council, National Honors Society, and Model United Nations.

Cyndy Solis

Instructor
Cyndy has an Associate's Degree in Chemistry and is pursuing her Bachelor's in Computer Science at the University of North Georgia. She has always liked working with students to help reach their individual goals, and, fortunately, her favorite subject is math. Cyndy is also a regular volunteer for Girls On The Run and Athens Kids Specialists Pediatrics.

Ethan Harward

Instructor
Ethan is ready to tackle the toughest math topics! He completed multi-variable calculus and linear algebra through Georgia Tech's dual enrollment program during high school, and does an amazing job teaching upper level math topics to Mathnasium students. Always calm and composed, Ethan helps students develop the patience and organization needed to succeed in advanced math courses. His approach to teaching is rooted in his own personal experiences of becoming accomplished in carpentry, 3D design and music through consistent and patient practice. Ethan currently attends University of North Georgia where he studies Mechanical Engineering, a field that incorporates his interests in technology, building and science.

Emily Tran

Instructor
Emily is a senior at Buford High School, currently taking AP Calculus after finishing AP Statistics. She is the copresident of her school's chapter of Kiwanis International Key Club, founder of a nonprofit student tutoring website, and cofounder of Buford's STEM Club. Emily is proud to dedicate her time to the achievement of all students at Mathnasium and in her community. She has a knack for identifying and addressing the root of her students' problems to ensure their success both in and out of our center. When she isn't practicing math, Emily enjoys crocheting, ice skating, and coding.

Caitlyn Connaire

Instructor
Caitlyn is a junior at Mill Creek High School and a former Mathnasium student herself! Having experienced the success of the Mathnasium Method first-hand, she's eager to apply her own confidence and skills to now help bolster those of the rest of our students. Caitlyn brings a bright and positive attitude to each student's lesson that's almost infectious. She's a member of the NHS chapter and cheer team at her school, currently taking AP Calculus AB with plans to take AP Stat her senior year. She spends her summers volunteering at Tender Ones Therapy Services where she helps children with special needs learn to make crafts, dance, paddle board, and other fun activities.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
