Colleen Avery

Education Director
A series of life-changing events resulted in a career move from retail management to the field of education. This choice has enriched my life in ways that I never dreamed possible. I graduated Felician University in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education, and certification to teach grades K-8. I have taught Math and English within a variety of educational settings, including Monmouth –Ocean Educational Services Commission (MOESC) grades 1-8, fourth grade in Bergen County, and 7th and 8th grades in Ocean. In 2008, I started a private tutoring service, specializing in Math and Language Arts. I live with my husband in a log cabin in Spring Lake Heights, have three grown daughters whom are the light of my life, and love the beach, fishing, and reading.
