Bredt brings a rich background in visual and verbal literacy to her role at Mathnasium, having previously worked as an art buyer and program manager for educational publishers. When she transitioned into hands on education, she added math literacy to her repertoire as a Center Director at Brookline Mathnasium.
While raising her two sons, Bredt stayed active in the community, running school fundraisers like the PTO Book Fair and Spelling Bee. She believes the skills students gain at Mathnasium—problem-solving, learning to ask for help, and persistence—are essential life skills that benefit them beyond the classroom.

Myrtha holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Information Technology from M.I.T. After a successful career consulting for Oracle, she opened the first Mathnasium Center in Massachusetts.
As a Newton parent, Myrtha understands the community’s high expectations for education, especially in math. Having experienced the rigor of Singapore Math herself, she sought a better, more engaging way to teach her daughter.
