Matthew Crawford

Lead Instructor
I was born in Middlesex, NJ, and attended college at Northeastern University in Boston. There, I received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Mathematics. I joined Mathnasium as my first job after moving back to New Jersey. Currently, I also work in the Finance department of the Somerset County Library System of NJ. Other than math, I enjoy reading, cooking and riding my bicycle.
Key Achievements
I have been a team member of Mathnasium for more than 10 years now. High School Salutatorian. BS in Math with highest honors.
Fun Fact
I once adopted a kitten from our center director, Julia. I named him Gato.

Alex Becerril

Instructor
I graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor's degree in computer science. In my free time, I like to write fiction, do photography, engage in 3D modeling and printing, and experiment with other forms of art. My experience in these hobbies have been greatly enhanced by using the critical thinking skills I learned in my math courses, and I hope to share these fun applications of math with my students.
Key Achievements
I learned how to 3D print my own decorations.

Uma Saha

Instructor
I’m a scientist and director of scientific operations at Genesis Biotechnology Group. I have also been tutoring math and science for the last twenty years. I’m very passionate about tutoring students. I love science, math, and children!
Key Achievements
Became a scientist (I developed stem cell line and created humanized mice for treating cancer and other diseases). I’m also able to find some time to teach students which I’m passionate about.
