Stuart and Lauren Stall are the dedicated owners and directors of Mathnasium of Buford and Athens. With over a decade of experience running Mathnasium centers, they are passionate about transforming students' lives through math.
Lauren holds a degree in Mathematics and taught Geometry and Calculus in Gwinnett County. Stuart has a background in education, specializing in supporting students with behavioral disorders and autism. Together, they create a caring and fun group environment where students feel confident and excited about learning math.
Aspen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in math and science, and she’s on track to earn her Master’s in Middle Grades Education in 2026.
She has been with Mathnasium of Buford for nearly five years and is passionate about helping students build lasting confidence. Aspen loves watching kids grow academically and personally. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, painting, and reading. Her favorite part of Mathnasium is seeing the positive impact personalized learning has on each child’s success.
Julia is a freshman at the University of Georgia and was the valedictorian of Buford High School’s Class of 2024. She was active in marching band, student council, Mu Alpha Theta, and more.
She loves math for its logic and universality, and she especially enjoys sharing her passion with students at Mathnasium. Julia’s birthday is on Pi Day, and her favorite part of teaching is watching students grow in both attitude and skill. In the future, she hopes to study education, math, or both, and join a music program at UGA.
Savannah graduated from Georgia Tech with a degree in Neuroscience and minored in Health and Medical Sciences. She is currently applying to grad school to get her Masters in Speech-Language Pathology.
Savannah was a part of leadership in VSA during college and did Fan Dance and Modern Dance with the club. She loves Mathnasium because she enjoys watching the students become more confident in their math skills!
Aanvy is a sophomore at Buford High School. She is involved in dance, Kathak (Traditional Indian Dance), HOSA, Student Council, and Girls Golf.
Aanvy started off as a student at Mathnasium and is now a wonderful instructor! She loves Mathnasium because the environment is so positive to work in, and she loves being able to help and connect with each student in different ways.
Alexis is a senior at GSMST who is involved in Math Team, Mu Alpha Theta, and NHS. She has goals of studying computer science in college!
Alexis enjoys swimming, yoga, and drawing, and she loves math because it is a universal language that can be applied across different fields. Fun fact: she can solve a Rubik's Cube in under a minute!
Andrew is currently a junior at GSMST. He is involved in Math Club, Mu Alpha Theta, and HOSA.
Andrew's hobbies include: math, soccer, eating, and folding paper frogs. He loves Mathnasium because he gets to teach others his favorite subject, and he also loves the community.
Bori is a junior at GSMST involved in NAHS, Research Club, HOSA, and KVI. Bori plans on going to college to study either biomedical research or nursing.
When she has free time, Bori enjoys drawing, running, and dancing. Fun fact: She used to be a student here at Mathnasium and is now an amazing instructor! Bori loves how the community at Mathnasium is always so friendly and encouraging, and she always learns something new from the other instructors and students!
Dylan has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and is currently applying to math PhD programs.
He loves the feeling of finally solving a problem that he has struggled with, and he wants to help students build a strong foundation in math and watch them grow with it. Dylan was in math club during undergrad and enjoys playing video games, playing his bass guitar, eating ramen, and doing math research. His favorite number is pi!
Eshaan is a standout student at Buford High School and active in Mu Alpha Theta and HOSA. He enjoys tennis and loves math for how it develops essential life skills and real-world problem-solving.
His favorite fun fact is the birthday paradox: “If there are 23 people in a room, there’s a 50% chance two share a birthday!” At Mathnasium, Eshaan appreciates the friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to make math exciting and accessible for all students.
Henry is a junior at GSMST who is also enrolled in GT Math. He is involved in TSA, CS Club, and Science Olympiad, and he wants to pursue a degree in engineering in college.
Outside of school, Henry enjoys soccer, piano, reading, and CAD. He loves math because of how we use it to understand the world and influence how we think. Henry loves working at Mathnasium due to how it creates an environment in which both students and instructors can develop a deeper understanding of math.
Joy is a student at GSMST. He is doing an internship at a local pediatrics clinic and is also involved in cancer-focused extracurriculars such as Relay for Life and Oral Cancer Screenings.
Joy plans on majoring in chemistry in college on the pre-med track. He loves Mathnasium because it has taught him a lot on how kids process things, and he also loves to introduce different ways of thinking to them. Fun fact: Joy is fluent in French and intermediate in Spanish!
Lydia has a Masters in Epidemiology and is also a Sunday School Teacher! She has a passion for teaching and enjoys playing boardgames and watching movies.
Lydia loves Mathnasium because she gets to see the students getting better not only at math, but also in their confidence and perseverance. Fun fact: Lydia has three sisters, and they all have the same first name as her! "Why was the math homework sad? Because it has a lot of problems."
Sanay is a senior at Buford High School. He is involved in GSLT, HOSA, and DECA, and he has aspirations to go to medical school.
Sanay is one of our multiple instructors who was originally a student at Mathnasium! He enjoys mountain biking and going to the gym. "What did the triangle say to the circle? You're pointless!"
Scott is a junior at GSMST and is a part of his school's TSA and Architecture Design. He hopes to study architecture in college.
When he has free time, Scott enjoys recreational volleyball and soccer, making miniature models, hiking, and climbing. Fun fact: he is double jointed almost everywhere! "Once there was a hen who counted her own eggs. She was a mathemachicken!"
Shayaan is a senior at Buford High School involved in FBLA, CSHS, PAFA, AASA, NHS, Beta Club, and Muay Thai. In the future, Shayaan wants to be an automotive engineer working for an F1 team.
Shayaan started as a student at Mathnasium, and he found that it was a fun and new stress-free environment to work on something that he found very demanding. He used to despise math homework, and now he is an awesome instructor! "It's really easy as pi!"
Tabatha is a senior at Lanier High School and is the Co-President of Mu Alpha Theta. She is involved in NHS, Maker Student Leadership, Environmental Club, and chamber orchestra. She has goals of becoming a nurse and earning a second degree in missions.
When Tabatha has down time, she enjoys catching up on sleep, binge watching Netflix, and reading. Her favorite number is 67. "Not all math jokes are bad. Just sum."
Zach graduated from Seckinger High School and is currently a first year Biomedical Engineering major at Georgia Tech. He was involved in Beta Club, NHS, and robotics in high school and now spends his free time playing basketball, thrifting, and collecting shoes.
Zach loves math because it is objective, but there are many ways to get the same answer. He loves Mathnasium because he has gotten to foster closer connections with the kids he teaches. "Calculus jokes are too derivative--I don't like them."
