Rachel is the Owner and Center Director at Mathnasium of Burke. She graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a minor in Accounting. A lifelong math enthusiast, Rachel especially enjoys algebra and probability and believes math should be clear, logical, and fun to learn.
Through the Mathnasium Method™, Rachel helps students build strong foundational skills and lasting confidence. She’s passionate about creating an environment where children can develop a positive attitude toward math and lifelong learning.
Steven is currently studying Computer Science at George Mason University. He has always loved math and has spent years helping friends and family with their studies before joining Mathnasium.
Steven enjoys showing students how math connects to everyday life and believes anyone can become confident in the subject with the right support. His enthusiasm and patience make him an encouraging mentor to learners of all ages.
Max is majoring in Computer Science with a Mathematics minor at Drexel University. His passion for math began early and deepened as he explored how mathematical concepts drive real-world problem-solving in coding and technology.
At Mathnasium, Max loves helping students discover math’s usefulness and beauty. His goal is to show how the skills they learn can apply far beyond the classroom.
Daniel is pursuing a degree in Music Education with a focus in Voice at George Mason University. He’s worked at Mathnasium for three years and loves the joy of helping students grow in both understanding and confidence.
For Daniel, math is like a puzzle, with each problem offering a chance to think critically and creatively. He brings that same energy to every session, inspiring students to see math as both fun and rewarding.
Bevin is a student at Lake Braddock Secondary School with a strong interest in math and science. He has loved working with numbers from a young age and enjoys helping others develop the same excitement for learning.
At Mathnasium, Bevin focuses on helping students strengthen their problem-solving skills and gain confidence in math. He believes that understanding math opens doors to curiosity, creativity, and lifelong success.
Tora is a student at West Springfield High School with a strong passion for math and physics. His love for math started early, sparked by his dad, who challenged him with complex math problems from a young age, building his confidence and curiosity.
At Mathnasium, Tora is excited to spread that same love for math by teaching concepts in engaging ways, from using real-world examples and visual analogies to interactive explanations. His goal is to show every student that math is an adventure that makes learning feel exciting.
