Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Nancy Bugwadia

Co-Owner
After working in the healthcare industry for over 30 years, Nancy was excited by the parallels with healthcare and teaching in bringing compassion and community engagement. Though she has helped with both the Mathnasium of Mountain View-Los Altos and Mathnasium of Campbell-Los Gatos Centers from their inception, she decided to join the Centers full-time in June 2022. Nancy has created partnerships with Parent Leadership Organizations and hosted Math Nights in several local schools. She brings the fun factor to the Centers! Nancy holds a BS in Microbiology and an MS in Clinical Nutrition and is also a Registered Dietitian. She loves spending time with family and friends as well as cooking, gardening, and reading.

Glynda Myer

General Manager
Glynda Myer graduated from University of California Santa Cruz, with a degree in Math education. Through this training she spent time in the classroom environment, teaching lessons as well as discussing different teaching strategies with teachers. Glynda has been working for Mathnasium of Campbell-Los Gatos for over 10 years, working with students at all levels. She strives to not only explain how to do a problem, but to teach "why" based on each student's prior knowledge. Through her time here she has seen what a difference we make on every student who we work with. In her new role as General Manager, Glynda leads and supports the teams at both the Campbell-Los Gatos and Mountain View-Los Altos Centers.

Fernan Naderzad

Assistant Center Director
Fernan joined the Mathnasium of Campbell-Los Gatos team in 2013 and has a degree from San Jose State University in Design Studies with a minor in Computer Science. Fernan had previously tutored students in other math tutoring programs; however, at Mathnasium, she has come to appreciate the Mathnasium teaching strategies used to explain math and help students of all levels succeed. Fernan's approach to instructing is specific to the student. Understanding him or her guides her to utilize the most appropriate teaching approach. It comes naturally to her to connect with others emotionally and to bring enthusiasm and passion to her work. As a result, almost every one of of her students and their parents have verbally expressed that they enjoy working with her. She enjoys interacting with colleagues and always seeks to improve her knowledge base and skill sets. Fernan has now taken on the role of an Assistant Center Director and has been very helpful with our newest Willow Glen location, as we grow this center.

The success of all the students that he works with is very important, and seeing students understanding and enjoying Math is a true honor for him. Coming from an engineering background, Science, Technology, Engineering and Math have always been important to his life. He hopes to see more students pursuing STEM related fields of study.

Kyle Smith

Assistant Center Manager
Kyle Smith graduated from California Polytechnic University-San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Mathematics. During his time in SLO, Kyle was involved in a collaborative after school tutoring program between Cal Poly and local middle schools. His love for teaching math continued after graduating, as he entered the Credential Program at Cal Poly. After moving back to the Bay Area, Kyle continued to grow as an instructor and educator through various teaching and tutoring opportunities, before coming to Mathnasium of Campbell-Los Gatos in 2018. He loves making math relatable to student's lives as much as possible. Kyle continues to learn, not only from his fellow coworkers, but also from the students he interacts with daily, on how to make math fun and enjoyable.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
