Brett brings over 11 years of experience to Mathnasium and a background in business, management, and teaching high school math. Most recently a teacher at Carmel High School, Brett feels deeply connected to Mathnasium’s mission and methods.
A longtime Carmel resident, Brett enjoys life with his wife and two sons. He’s passionate about helping students truly understand math, whether they’re struggling or already excelling. His favorite number is 3, and the math word that best describes him is “sequence” for his methodical nature.
Erica has worked at Mathnasium for over six years and brings experience mentoring children and a passion for helping them achieve those “lightbulb moments.” She has studied advanced mathematics including Differential Equations and Non-Euclidean Geometry.
She loves introducing students to Mathnasium’s intuitive methods and seeing their confidence grow. Erica enjoys fantasy novels, watching Sven Goolie with her husband, and spending time with her two boys. Her favorite number is 4, and the math word that describes her best is “function.”
Joseph has been part of the Mathnasium team for over five years and is a two-time Instructor of the Month. He is currently studying Computer Science and has a strong interest in coding, math, and physics.
As the oldest of four siblings, Joseph enjoys working with kids and sharing his love of learning. He’s proud to be part of a program that builds confidence and clarity in math. His favorite number is Tau, and the math word that best describes him is “absolute value” for his positive attitude.
WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT MATHNASIUM? I really enjoy working at Mathnasium! The flexible schedule, the bond with my co-workers, and the positive atmosphere are all great. Most of all, I love the time I spend studying math and talking about it with the students. When I see kids seriously thinking through their math problems, it always makes me smile.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE NUMBER? 1. Every big number starts from 1, just like every strong math ability starts froom the basics.
