Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Emerson Hessee

Director

Hi! My name is Emerson and I have been with Mathnasium since 2020. I discovered my passion for math education as an instructor, while completing my B.A. in Mathematics at the University of Denver. Witnessing students’ growth in confidence and their “aha!” moments is immeasurably rewarding! My favorite moment is when students realize they are safe to make mistakes. When I’m not at the center, I love walking my dogs, testing new recipes, or figuring out a new riff on my guitar!

Jen Rosado

Assistant Director

Hi! My name is Jennifer and I have been with Mathnasium since 2017. I have a Bachelor’s in Psychology.  Finding Mathnasium was the perfect way to combine my passion for Education and love for math. Being able to help students with their math struggles gives me so much joy.  When a student can come in and tell me how proud they are of their success I know that I have made a difference!

Nyah Cubbison

Parent Communications Director
Nyah is a recent graduate from Colorado Early Colleges and will be attending DU as a Psychology Major. She has worked her way up from Instructor, to Assistant Director and now to our first ever Parent Communications Director! We are very excited that she can take on this new role and continue to pursue her education in the Fall. Nyah loves to read, play guitar and piano and is one of the hardest workers we know. Be sure to congratulate her on her acceptance and full ride to DU when you see her!

Clay Brown

Center Owner

Clay started at Mathnasium in 2006 and has yet to find anything more rewarding than working with students and making a positive impact in their life. Having a great team is the key to running a successful center, so he is very grateful for his staff and their support. For some students math can be very difficult, so Clay prides himself in helping those students overcome any negativity they feel towards math. He wants math to be an advocate for all of the kids that walk through his center doors and empower them to go chase their passions. When he is not at the center you can find Clay with his incredible family exploring Colorado and enjoying all that this wonderful State has to offer. His favorite quote is from Martin Luther King Jr. “Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve others”.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
