• Where is Mathnasium of Chatham located?

  Mathnasium of Chatham is located in the Chatham Mall, near Starbucks and Ace Hardware, and across the street from ShopRite of Chatham. With convenient parking and an accessible location, our center is an easy stop for families in and around the Chatham area. 

  We proudly serve students from Chatham, Madison, Morristown, New Vernon, and Harding.

• Do you offer online tutoring?

  Yes. Mathnasium of Chatham offers both in-center and online math tutoring. Students can choose the learning format that best suits their schedule. In both cases, they receive personalized, face-to-face instruction from our specially trained math tutors in a supportive and engaging group environment.

• Is there a difference between online and in-person tutoring?

  No. Whether students attend online or in the center, they benefit from the same personalized learning plans, live instruction, and experienced math tutors. The format may differ, but the instruction and outcomes remain consistent.

• What math classes can your Chatham tutors help with?

  We work with students in grades 1–12 across a wide range of math topics, including early arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, and more.  

  With support from our specially trained math tutors, students strengthen their skills, improve academic performance, and gain greater confidence in their abilities.

• What does mathematics tutoring cost at Mathnasium of Chatham?

  We offer math-only tutoring through a monthly membership model with no long-term commitment. Most students benefit from attending 2–3 times per week. To determine the ideal session frequency, we start with a free assessment.

• Is there a difference between the cost of online and in-center math tutoring at Mathnasium of Chatham?

  No. The membership fee is the same for in-center, online, or hybrid tutoring options.

• How do you teach math? What curriculum do you use?

  At Mathnasium of Chatham, we use the Mathnasium Method™, a proprietary teaching approach. Our specially trained tutors create and implement personalized learning plans that align with each student’s level and learning pace. 

  This approach is designed to help students make sense of math, close knowledge gaps, and build solid foundations for math mastery. It also enhances their critical thinking, problem solving abilities, and confidence—skills that benefit them in and out of the classroom.

• Do you work with advanced students or with students who are struggling with math?

  Yes. We support students at all skill levels, whether they need help catching up, keeping up, or getting ahead. 

  Students who are behind receive targeted instruction to rebuild core skills, while advanced learners can participate in enrichment programs designed to challenge and extend their understanding.

• Do you work with homeschooled students in Chatham?

  Yes. We welcome homeschooled students as well as those attending public and private schools throughout Chatham and neighboring communities.

• Do you help students with their math homework?

  Yes. During each session, our tutors can set aside time to assist students with their math homework, helping them reinforce classroom learning and gain clarity on difficult topics.

• Does Mathnasium assign homework to students?

  No. All instruction happens during center or online sessions with our tutors. We don’t assign homework; our goal is to help students make measurable progress during their time with us.

• Do you prepare students for standardized tests?

  Yes. We prepare students for a variety of math-focused standardized tests, including state exams, ACT®, and SAT®. Our programs include personalized learning plans, targeted practice, and strategy coaching tailored to each student’s test goals.
