At Mathnasium of Chino South, we take a long-view approach to exam preparation, focusing on steady math growth rather than cramming before test day.
Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and any knowledge gaps. From there, we develop a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, so students aren't starting from scratch before every exam.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across any K-12 math class, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing what students are learning in school, closing foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that carry them through quizzes, midterms, and finals alike.
When a major exam is approaching, we can also focus on the specific topics and concepts it will cover, so students feel confident walking in.
Yes! Mathnasium of Chino South prepares students for the math portions of the CAASPP.
Our tutors understand the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics the exam reflects, ensuring students have a solid grasp of the grade-level concepts they'll encounter on test day. We use a diagnostic assessment to identify where each student needs support and build a personalized learning plan that targets the skills they need to meet and exceed grade-level expectations.
The sooner, the better. Because the CAASPP measures the math skills students develop over the course of the school year, consistent preparation throughout the year is far more effective than a rushed approach before the test.
We encourage families to reach out at the start of the school year so we have time to address any foundational gaps and build grade-level skills. Ideally, students start with us at the beginning of the school year or semester. This gives us time to address knowledge gaps, strengthen foundational skills, and build steady progress toward grade-level mastery well before test day. If your student is closer to the exam, we can still make a real impact. Reach out and we'll create a focused plan based on the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of Chino South prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is sitting for the exam for the first time or working to improve their score, we tailor preparation to where they are and where they want to be.
We recommend starting at least three to six months before the exam date, and earlier is always better.
College admissions math tests cover a wide range of topics, from algebra and data analysis to geometry and, on the ACT®, trigonometry. Students who begin preparation early have time to identify and close knowledge gaps, build fluency with exam-style problems, and develop the confidence that comes from sustained practice.
For students with significant gaps in foundational math skills, starting even earlier, in middle school or early high school, gives them the strongest possible foundation heading into test prep. If your student's test date is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll build a focused plan around the time they have.
Math test prep at Mathnasium of Chino South is included as part of a flat monthly membership. Pricing depends on each student's individual learning plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly. We're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
Every student comes in at a different place, so the session count varies based on current skill level, the target exam, and how much time remains before test day.
As a general guide, most students preparing for a major exam such as the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT® attend two sessions per week over three to six months. For state assessments or school-based exams, a shorter timeline may be sufficient depending on each student's needs.
After the diagnostic assessment, we'll have a clear picture of what your student needs and can recommend a session schedule that gives them the best chance of success.
