How is Mathnasium of Coconut Grove providing a safe and healthy environment?

Aug 20, 2020 | Coconut Grove

We know there are still a lot of things up in the air regarding the upcoming academic year. Many schools in our Coral Gables / Coconut Grove community are taking a distance learning or a hybrid approach. Here are the things we are certain of at Mathnasium of Coral Gables:

1. We are open! Our team of math experts is delivering instruction both in our Dadeland center AND online. Your child’s well-being is our top priority. Our updated in-center health and safety procedures include:

  • disinfecting high-touch surfaces regularly
  • limiting the number of students to follow social distancing guidelines
  • requiring EVERYONE to wear a mask and sanitize their hands

Of course, students will continue to have the option to learn via video-conference with Mathnasium@home if that works best for your family.

2. We are here to help. As always, we help your child achieve their math goals! (getting ahead in math? filling in knowledge gaps? preparing for standardized tests?)

3. We will continue to assess your child. We know that every child is unique and requires a customized learning plan. We will continue to regularly assess your child in order to benchmark their progress and adjust their learning plan as needed.

4. We will continue to communicate. We provide regular progress reports both by phone and email - we want to share the results of your child’s hard work with you! We are also happy to schedule an in-person or video-conference conversation.

5. We make math make sense. We teach using visual, tactile, aural, didactic, and Socratic techniques to ensure your child is understanding math instead of just memorizing methods and answers. We always go at their pace. We build mathematical thinking skills to create confident problem-solvers!

Self-schedule an assessment for your child today either in our center - OR - on our video-conference platform.
