As a former high school counselor for over 25 years, I understood how critical math education is in student achievement and as a life-skill. Math is Everywhere! Columbia has been my home during three phases of my life: as an elementary student at West Boulevard and Grant Elementary, as a college student while earning bachelor's and master's degrees at Mizzou, and as a school counselor for 7 years (2016-2023) at Rock Bridge High School. I consider it my great honor to support Columbia students in their math achievement goals. The Mathnasium Method works! We've assembled an amazing team of instructors and center director who help our students in their sessions gain skills and confidence in mathematics. We make learning math fun!!
Hello! My name is Vedant and I'm currently at Rock Bridge High School studying an advanced math track. I participate in Cross Country and distance Track events and I enjoy going to the gym and playing video games in my spare time. I developed a passion for math through competitions during elementary and middle school. In my time so far at Mathnasium it has been amazing helping students build confidence and understanding in their math skills.
Hello, my name is Neel. I am a sophomore at the University of Missouri majoring in biological sciences. I am minoring in psychology and chemistry while obtaining my certificate in neuroscience. I plan on going to medical school and hopefully I can become a surgeon one day. In my free time I like working out, playing and watching sports and hanging out with friends. I want to help students at Mathnasium build a positive relationship with math and see the benefits it can have in their lives.
Hi, all! I am a senior at Father Tolton High School and plan on pursuing a career in Mechanical Engineering. I was a student at Mathnasium of Columbia while in middle school and I am thrilled to now help other students build a firm foundation of mathematical skills. In my free time, I am the president of my school's STEM Club and Mathletes team, and I enjoy waterskiing, playing pickleball, and learning new strategic card and board games.
Hi, all! My name is Emme Heimlich, and I am a student at the University of Missouri. I am studying statistics with a minor in math and education.
