FOCUS Chess Tournament was a HUGE SUCCESS!! Over 40 young players competed and showed off their Focus chess skills. Over 60 parents, friends, and siblings watched. Several players won trophies while all of them gained valuable experience. Thank you to our sponsors Wild Wing Cafe, Championship Chess, and The Lewis Family. Special thanks to Steve and Pat Schneider with Championship Chess for directing the tournament and keeping things running smoothly and to Dr. Debbie Harnois (MCSD School Counselor) for giving a presentation about ADHD during our lunch intermission. Also a special thanks to Chick-fil-a Bradley Park & Sweet Frog for helping out with lunch. Our next Focus chess tournament will be held in the Fall 2015. Stay tuned for more details...
