Mac studied Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science at Columbus State University. A Columbus native and Hardaway High School graduate, Mac has been involved in many extracurriculars including math team, academic decathlon, Model UN, and marching band.
He began tutoring peers in middle school and has since worked at multiple tutoring centers in Atlanta and Columbus. Mac enjoys sharing his passion for math and technology with students and is dedicated to helping them learn in a fun, supportive environment.
Tom holds a Master’s in Math Education from Columbus College and a B.S. in Communication from the University of Tennessee. He spent nearly 30 years teaching high school math, most of them at Smiths Station High School, before joining Mathnasium.
A U.S. Army veteran and former instructor for the Infantry Officer Advanced Course, Tom brings discipline, experience, and enthusiasm to every session. He enjoys guiding students through math challenges and watching their confidence grow with each success.
