Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Liz Fullmer

Assistant Center Director

Liz has been with Mathnasium since 2020. She grew up in Ogden but now resides in West Jordan. She recently graduated from BYU with a degree in chemical engineering. Liz has always had a passion for math; so much so, her nickname growing up was Mathy. She joined the Mathnasium team with the goal to spread that love of math to others. Liz is also married with 2 kids, Freddy and Penny. She enjoys baking, crafting, and going on adventures with her family.

Tabitha Ricks

Instructor
Tabitha was born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Utah in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She has always loved math and earned a 5 on the AP Calculus exam. She has been married for 23 years and has two children, a 19 year old boy and a 15 year old girl. She and her husband have homeschooled them until high school, when they added some public school classes. She has played the violin for 34 years and teaches private violin lessons. She also works for the Intermountain Suzuki String Institute, where she gives practice help to parents, writes grants, and acts as the registrar and chamber music assistant. Besides helping children develop a love of learning, she enjoys spending time with her family, sewing, tatting, and gardening.

Peter Shadel

Peter is currently a senior at Taylorsville High School. Math has always been his favorite subject. He took AP Calculus in 10th grade and is continuing on an advanced math path. He loves solving Rubik's cubes, playing chess, and playing his viola.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.
