Sometimes when you are in the midst of a struggle it feels overwhelming and never-ending. Don’t Despair! We know your child can be successful in math. We have seen how one math success leads to more successes.
Seven-year-old Melanie had health issues that impacted her concentration at school and her ability to learn. Math was especially difficult and going into second grade.
Luckily, Melanie and her parents had the right attitude toward her difficulties. They knew she needed a math intervention. It was the fall of 2016 when her parents sent Melanie and her brother to Mathnasium.
What made the difference between second grade and third grade? Math intervention, the right attitude, and hard work.
Another story, sixteen year old Alexandra has serious health issues and often misses many school days in an academic year. She progressed from Algebra I to Geometry, then Algebra II, without much understanding of the Math concepts teaching in school. Without the calculator, Alex often made mistakes in Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division computations. After five months working hard at Mathnasium, on three different Learning Plans at the same time, Alex now can do mental math quickly in her head and recently received an A on her Pre-Calculus test.
At Mathnasium of Cottage Grove we feel honored to be a part of many transformations just like Alexandra and Melanie’s story. These success stories give us a unique perspective on a child’s math struggle. Parents and students don’t always see a bright future when they are in the middle of a struggle. This lack of hope can affect a child's motivation. It sometimes takes an act of courage to admit that you need help.
We have seen many students go from struggling math students to math stars. We want to see that for your child, too! Take a few minutes to read the reviews to the right to see how Mathnasium of Cottage Grove is helping to shine a bright light toward a better math future for many children in the Cottage Grove and Saint Paul Park areas. Sometimes it just takes someone to say, “You can do this, I believe in you.”
Let us help your child become a math star too! Give us a call today.
