Pauline has been a Medical Laboratory Scientist for over 15 years, using Math and Science in her daily work. She understands the importance of having a strong foundation in Math opens many opportunities to a child’s future. Pauline graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology and finished some graduate course work at the University of St. Thomas. Pauline is married to an Electrical Engineer and is raising two gifted children who thoroughly enjoy the Mathnasium experience. Pauline decided to open a Mathnasium center in Cottage Grove to help children improve their Math skills and as a way of giving back to the community that they have lived in for the last fifteen years.
Foster is a student at East Ridge High School and enjoys taking Calculus and challenging honors courses. He joined Mathnasium because of his love for math and interest in teaching others. Foster is on two mountain bike racing teams and the high school alpine ski team. He is also active on the Student Council.
Ainsley is currently a student at East Ridge High School and dual-enrolled at the University of Minnesota. She has taken extensive rigor through her high school career, getting the highest score of a 5 in advanced placement courses such as AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC. Ainsley has received the AP Scholar with Distinction award for her academic achievements. While at the University of Minnesota, she took Multivariable Calculus where she received a 100% in the class. She is involved at East Ridge as a member of the National Honors Society and a Tri-M Music Honor Society’s board member. In her free time, Ainsley is a highly-skilled oboist who is first-chair in her high school music ensembles and was a member of All-State Orchestra.
Kai is a student at Mounds Park Academy. There, he excels in math, and in extracurriculars as well. Kai is currently a Varsity member of the MPA speech team, and a singer/actor in theater. When not reading over his speech book and theater scripts, Kai can be found practicing his flute, playing video games, or most of all, spending time with his friends. Working at Mathnasium, Kai discovered his ability to teach and help students understand their work, while simultaneously overcoming his social phobia rooted in social anxiety. As an instructor, he encourages students to nurture their mathematical abilities, and enjoys seeing them grow and improve their understanding.
Andrew is a student at Hill-Murray School. He excels in STEM classes and enjoys serving as a mentor to other students of all ages. In his free time, he enjoys learning piano and guitar and spending time with friends. Andrew is looking forward to studying medicine in college.
Brynna joins the Mathnasium instruction tearm after attending Mathnasium for more than four years as a student. Brynna plays Volleyball for East Ridge High School and Northern Lights. Brynna is one of the most favorite Mathnasium instructor among elementary school students.
Summer joins the Mathnasium instruction team after attending Mathnasium as a student for three years. She is strong in Algebra 1 and Geometry. Summer enjoys spending her time at Mathnasium helping kids to become stronger in particular areas of math that they may struggle in. She also tutors 6th graders in the morning during advisory at school, and even helps her younger siblings with their work as well. Along with that, she was the captain of her school’s volleyball team during the season. Overall, Summer enjoys spending time with others and helping them learn along the way!
Lydia is a junior at Hastings High School and was a Mathnasium student many years ago. Lydia is planning to go to River Falls University after high school for Elementary Education. Lydia is passionate about helping students to learm math in a way that make sense to them.
Miles is student at East Ridge high school with a strong passion for mathematics and a dedication to helping others succeed in the subject. Through out his school life, Miles has excelled in mathematics, consistently earning top grades in Algebra, Geometry, and Calculus. Miles is dedicated to make a difference in students’ mathematical journeys.
Tyler is a student at Math and Science Academy, Woodbury. In emementary school, Tyler attended Mathnasium for multiple summers and the experience has stayed with him. He enjoyed the skills he learned from Mathnasium and I would like to bring that to other Mathnasium students.
Tyler is the lead coder on the Math and Science Academy's First Robotic Competition team Cyber Machina and also the Co-Captain of the school chess club and have helped many members learn and improve at the game. Tyler served as the SPL (Senior Patrol Leader) for the Boy Scout Troop 559 for 6 months and helped the troop of 50+ scouts, in 5th - 12th grade, to improve their skills and watched many rank up.
Besides teaching math,Tyler also enjoy talking robotics and sports with the Mathnasium students.
Jamy is a Mathnasium employee who is currently a rising junior at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. She graduated head of her class summa cum laude at Park High School in Cottage Grove in 2024 with a GPA of 4.6, a full IB diploma, and a perfect ACT score of 36. At Gustavus, she studies political science pre-law with a minor in theatre and is anticipated to graduate in 2027, at which time she will attend law school and hopes to become a lawyer. Jamy has worked at Mathnasium since 2022 and is excited to connect with your child and help them succeed!
