Jen Houston
Mathletic Director
Prior to accepting the position of Mathletic Director at Mathnasium of Florence, Jennifer served for over ten years as the Director of Operations and Events at the ALS Association Kentucky Chapter. At ALS, Jennifer raised awareness and provided support for those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease. She enjoys working with families and children and has a strong affinity for mathematics.
Jennifer studied Accounting and Business Communications at Eastern Kentucky Unversity, and she also received coursework in Business Management at Jefferson Community & Technological College. She is eager to apply this knowledge, along with the considerable experience she gained at ALS, to the ongoing task of making families and students in the Northern Kentucky region aware of the positive impact Mathnasium can have on young lives. Much of Jennifer's studies focused on the practical applications of mathematics, and one of her main goals at Mathnasium is to demonstrate to her students the essential usefulness of mathematics in our everyday lives. Beyond bolstering student confidence and mathematical fluency, which are critically important, Jennifer wants her students to know that they can make a difference in the world through math.
When Jennifer isn't at the center, she enjoys baking and cooking new recipes at home. Along with her husband, she is also an integral part of a dirt track race team in the Crate Late Model division and enjoys frequenting different dirt tracks in the tri-state area.
