Leslie Rosenthal, aka Mrs. R, is an experienced math teacher with over ten years experience working in Massachusetts public middle and high schools, focusing on English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities. She studied Mathematics and Secondary Education at Vanderbilt University, and earned her Masters in Education from Boston University. Mrs. Rosenthal’s favorite class to teach is Pre-Algebra, but she loves showing students of all ages the connections between old and new material. She believes that students learn math best by talking, drawing, reasoning, and explaining to others. Mrs. Rosenthal lives in Westwood with her husband, toddler, and very cute dog Oreo.
Keith is our Lead Instructor and Director of Student Experience at Mathnasium of Dedham. His biggest strength is his patience, and finding new ways to keep math fun and engaging. He loves working with students and making an impact in their lives by helping them love math like he does!
Keith majored in Mathematics and Classical Civilization at Trinity College in Hartford CT, with a Minor in Religious Studies. His favorite math classes included Graph Theory and Math of Finance. Keith worked as an Archivist for the Trinity College Library digitizing old and rare books and preserving them for future generations. He was also treasurer of the Trinity Chapter of the Classical Honor Society, where he used his math skills to help organize the budget for events.
On occasion Keith lends his mathematical knowledge to tutor kids in Bader 5 Boston Children’s Hospital. In his free time, he likes to read about history and discuss any Boston sports team.
Isaac is a senior at Westwood High School. His favorite subjects are math and science, and he aspires to major in biomedical engineering and become a doctor. Isaac's other interests are science research, piano, video games, and basketball. Isaac earned perfect scores on the Math sections of the PSAT and SAT, 5's in AP Chemistry, AP Statistics, and AP Physics I, the National Merit Semifinalist designation, and the Rennselaer Medal. In addition to working at Mathnasium of Dedham since 9th grade, Isaac recently organized an SAT math program from scratch for his peers at school. His favorite parts about being a Mathnasium Instructor are showing students the beauty of math and teaching them quantitative skills that will facilitate their future success.
Sally is the Director of Parent Outreach at Mathnasium of Dedham.
She has a Bachelor and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. During her time at Columbia, Sally planned and organized learning events for visiting high school students and taught them multiple classes about Climate Change and Healthy Coping Skills. Sally gained leadership experience in student clubs like EcoReps, a large college sustainability organization. There, she led events, trained new leaders, and coordinated events and regular communication with her teammates and university staff.
Sally has previously tutored Physics, Calculus, and Reading, and other high school math courses. In her free time, Sally enjoys making hexaflexagons (ask her what those are!), visiting museums, and spending time with her family.
