Mathnasium of Del Amo's personalized algebra tutoring programs are designed to support students at every stage of their math journey.
We help students transition from concrete to abstract thinking, mastering integers, fractions, order of operations, and introductory variables while building the algebraic reasoning needed for Algebra 1.
Our caring tutors guide students through multi-step equations, linear functions, graphing, and word problems using personalized plans that turn this pivotal course into a confident foundation for future math success.
We support students with fast-paced, complex topics—factoring polynomials, quadratics, exponentials, and logarithms—building advanced problem-solving skills needed for Precalculus and college-prep coursework.
At Mathnasium of Del Amo, our specially trained math tutors help students of all skill levels learn and master algebra, including Prealgebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and topics like expressions, equations, functions, and graphing.
We provide personalized, face-to-face instruction in a caring and fun small-group environment. Our tutors use clear, everyday language, meet students where they are, and help them fill in knowledge gaps so algebra makes sense and feels more approachable.
We use the Mathnasium Method™, our proprietary teaching approach designed to help students truly understand how algebra works while strengthening critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Our tutors combine proven interactive techniques with personalized learning plans based on each student’s goals and learning style. This approach makes algebra clear, meaningful, and easier to apply both inside and outside the classroom.
The enrollment process at Mathnasium of Del Amo begins with a diagnostic assessment designed to identify the student’s current algebra skills, knowledge gaps, and academic goals. Using these insights, we create a personalized learning plan that guides instruction at a pace that builds confidence and understanding.
As students work through their plan, our tutors provide targeted, face-to-face instruction, adapting in real time to strengthen foundational skills, introduce new concepts gradually, and help students truly understand the concepts they are working with.
