Yuriy

Assistant Center Director

Yuriy is a junior currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Florida Atlantic University. Prior to this, he completed an Associate of Arts degree at Palm Beach State College. Over his academic career, he has explored different branches of mathematics including Algebra, Calculus, Discrete Math, and Matrix Theory. Proficient in Python and C++, Yuriy is passionate about coding and applying mathematical concepts in the realm of data science analytics. When he is not involved with school, he would love nothing more than going to the beach with family or playing pickup soccer in the evening.

Nicole

Lead Instructor

Nicole is a junior at Florida Atlantic University High School, working towards both her high school diploma and bachelors degree in mechanical engineering simultaneously. Math has always been her favorite subject, and she is looking forward to helping students foster their own love for math. Nicole loves marine science, and volunteers for both her local wildlife centers as well as a biomechanics research lab. In her free time, Nicole enjoys traveling, writing, going to the beach, and hopes to one day run a marathon!

Priscilla

Instructor
Priscilla is a junior at Florida Atlantic University High School and pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Florida Atlantic University. Passionate in the sciences, including mathematics, chemistry, and physics, Priscilla highlights practical applications and mathematics fundamentals in engineering and teaching. As an undergraduate researcher, mathematics and calculations are at the baseline of scientific research and integral to her field of study, and so she hopes to bring that to instruction. And outside of academics, Priscilla plays the clarinet, chess, and billiards. While snorkeling and hiking recreationally.

Jonathan

Lead Instructor

Jonathan is a Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University of South Florida. He has an unconventional path to becoming a math instructor, as math was formerly his least favorite subject before his undergraduate studies. But seeking out help with math at his university’s tutoring center led to a newfound appreciation for math and within a year, he became a math instructor at the university himself. He has passionate and positive attitude towards helping students learn to improve their skills in and appreciate the beauty of mathematics. Outside of math, Jonathan is long time poly-athlete who loves Basketball, Football, and Martial Arts.

James

Instructor

James is a junior and dual enrollment student at Florida Atlantic University High School, pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. He has always been well informed in math and the sciences, taking classes up to the Calculus & Physics level. James is also a long-time member of Scouting America and Scouts BSA since 1st grade, having earned his Life Scout Rank and being incredibly close to earning his Eagle Scout Rank. On top of that, he also has a large interest in music and instruments, playing piano and bass guitar. When it comes to teaching, James has lots of prior experience in leadership and instruction and is excited to work with students to improve their math skills.

Lanni

Instructor

Lanni is a senior at Florida Atlantic University High School, working to complete her high school diploma and bachelor's degree in civil engineering. She is passionate about math and loves to help the community in any way she can. She volunteers for various activities and events, including for the Boca Raton Public Library. Always an athlete, she plays soccer, runs track, and enjoys going to the gym. She hopes one day to be able to use her knowledge to provide communities with the infrastructure necessary to thrive.

Alex

Instructor

Alex is a junior at Boca Raton High School, at which he earned a Cambridge AICE diploma with merit and currently plays for his school soccer team. He has always had an interest in math, from simple mathematics all the way up to high school and college level. He has been able to master levels of algebra and geometry, and is currently studying AB Calculus. Alex aspires to pursue a career in computer science or aerospace engineering. In addition to math, he is currently taking college level classes in fields such as history, reading, and computer science. In his free time Alex enjoys to watch sports, play soccer and chess, listen to music, and spend time with his family.
