Nien Tran

Hello, my name is Nien. I graduated from UNR with B.S. in Public Health, and am currently working on my Master's in Public Heath in Epidemiology. I have been working for Mathnasium since 2018, and enjoy helping students become more confident in their math skills. In my free time, I like to go hiking, finding new coffee places, and watching movies.

Miles Grieve

My name is Miles Grieve. I am 20 years old and I'm currently a junior at UNR studying Atmospheric Science. I am currently getting my private pilot's license and aim to eventually become a commercial airline pilot as my career. I am also a certified aircraft mechanic and in my free time also a car mechanic. I enjoy being able to teach others the better side of math and take joy in the satisfaction the people I teach get when they finally understand a difficult math problem.

Jayden Tran

Hello, my name is Jayden, a junior in high school. I was one of the first students to attend this Mathnasium and now I am an instructor. In the future I plan on becoming a chiropractor. Outside of tutoring and school, I enjoy working out, playing video games, reading or spending time with my friends.

Sara Sommer

My name is Sara and I’m currently a sophomore at UNR. I’m majoring in pure mathematics and after grad school I’d like to become a professor. I love math and getting to share that with my students is a great experience! In my free time, I love hanging out with my dogs, spending time in nature, and going climbing with friends.

Sophia Rauenhorst

Hello! My name is Sophia Rauenhorst, and I'm a junior in high school. I'm hoping to study biochemistry in the future. In my free time, I love to hike, bake, and listen to music. I enjoy instructing at Mathnasium because I love math and teaching allows me to be a part of the students' progress. Also, reviewing older concepts that I may have forgotten has made me a better math student.

Ally Perlich

Hi! My name is Ally, and I'm a senior in high school. Next year, I am planning on majoring in mechanical engineering with an emphasis in business. At school, I compete in cross country, track, and for fun bowling.In my free time, I love hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, traveling, and spending time with family. Math has always been one of my favorite subjects! I enjoy working at Mathnasium because I get to see the joy on the kid's faces when they finally understand a math concept.

Risha Giri

My name is Risha, and I am currently a Sophmore in high school. In the future I plan on following the pre-med college track and attending medical school. I am an avid tennis player, dancer, reader and baker. I love being an instructor at Mathnasium, because I enjoy seeing the students grow and enjoy doing math.

Nicolas Home

My name is Nicolas Home, a junior in high school. I am an honors student who is on the varsity tennis team at my school. In my free time I enjoy solving Rubik's cubes, exercising, and playing a variety of sports. Working as an instructor is great because I can utilize my open, content and straightforward personality to help the kids hone their math skills.

Kyle Perlich

My name is Kyle, and I have been working at Mathnasium since September of 2023. My goals include getting my major in finance and a minor in marketing. Eventually I want to be a pilot. When not working at Mathnasium I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, or flying planes.

Sohan Vadlakunta

Hello, my name is Sohan. I play golf and tennis when not in school, but I eventually want to go to college for aero-space engineering or computer science. Being in 11th grade at my school, I get to be a part of the robotics team. When at Mathnasium, I love teaching kids and watching them learn and understand concepts they are struggling with. Each kid is different and I enjoy trying to find new ways to teach them how to do something.

Don Kresse

Instructor
Mr. Donald F. Kresse earned his bachelor's degree in geology from U.C. Berkeley in June, 2983. He went on to have 25 year career in environmental hydro-geology consulting. After retiring from consulting at age 55, he traded the financial derivatives markets while teaching mathematics at two Mathnasiums in the San Francisco Bay area. After moving to Reno in 2020, Mr. Kresse retired but continues to be a math instructor at Mathnasium Diamond.

Krystle Cordeo

Instructor
My name is Krystle. I'm currently in my last semester at UNR. My major is Biology with a minor in Public Health. As a Mathnasium instructor, I enjoy working with students on their math while also getting to know them better. I love seeing the satisfaction from students when they understand math concepts after providing them with simpler ways to go about the problem. When I'm not working at the tutoring center, I try to stay active in the gym, play video games with friends, watching Korean dramas, and spending time with my two dogs and my family.
