Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Jayden Tran

Instructor

Hello, my name is Jayden, a junior in high school. I was one of the first students to attend this Mathnasium and now I am an instructor. In the future I plan on becoming a chiropractor. Outside of tutoring and school, I enjoy working out, playing video games, reading or spending time with my friends.

Boryl Nestorov

Instructor

Hello, my name is Boryl. I am a second-year student at UNR, studying for a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I chose to work at Mathnasium because I love math, and I love to help others understand it. It always feels good to see a student understand a concept, and progress further. In my free time, I love to go to the gym and go mountain biking. When I graduate, I would love to go into the automotive engineering field.

Sophia Rauenhorst

Instructor

Hello! My name is Sophia Rauenhorst, and I'm a junior in high school. I'm hoping to study biochemistry in the future. In my free time, I love to hike, bake, and listen to music. I enjoy instructing at Mathnasium because I love math and teaching allows me to be a part of the students' progress. Also, reviewing older concepts that I may have forgotten has made me a better math student.

Risha Giri

Instructor

My name is Risha, and I am currently a Sophmore in high school. In the future I plan on following the pre-med college track and attending medical school. I am an avid tennis player, dancer, reader and baker. I love being an instructor at Mathnasium, because I enjoy seeing the students grow and enjoy doing math.

Tara Joshi

Instructor

Hi! My name is Tara! I will be attending UNR for mechanical engineering. Teaching at Mathnasium is very fulfilling since I got the privilege to see students grow. It is always great to see when a concept "clicks" for them.  In my free time, I play the guitar and violin, and spend time with my family.

Kyle Perlich

Instructor

My name is Kyle, and I have been working at Mathnasium since September of 2023. My goals include getting my major in finance and a minor in marketing. Eventually I want to be a pilot. When not working at Mathnasium I enjoy traveling, spending time with my family, or flying planes.

Don Kresse

Instructor

Mr. Donald F. Kresse earned his bachelor's degree in geology from U.C. Berkeley in June, 2983. He went on to have 25 year career in environmental hydro-geology consulting. After retiring from consulting at age 55, he traded the financial derivatives markets while teaching mathematics at two Mathnasiums in the San Francisco Bay area. After moving to Reno in 2020, Mr. Kresse retired but continues to be a math instructor at Mathnasium Diamond.

Krystle Cordeo

Instructor

My name is Krystle. I'm currently in my last semester at UNR. My major is Biology with a minor in Public Health. As a Mathnasium instructor, I enjoy working with students on their math while also getting to know them better. I love seeing the satisfaction from students when they understand math concepts after providing them with simpler ways to go about the problem. When I'm not working at the tutoring center, I try to stay active in the gym, play video games with friends, watching Korean dramas, and spending time with my two dogs and my family.

Michelle Cho

Instructor

Hello! My name is Michelle and I am a junior in high school. I plan on pursuing a pre-law track after high school. Outside of the classroom, I am the debate captain of our school's team. I also enjoy theatre, leadership, and mock trials. I love working at Mathnasium because I get to see students grow and succeed!

Minu

Instructor

Hi, my name is Minu and I am currently a junior in high school. I am interested in pursuing biology on a pre-med track at college. I enjoy working at Mathnasium because I get to see each kid improve and become more confident in math. Outside of work, I love to dance and watch movies.

Sohan Vadlakunta

Instructor

Hello, my name is Sohan. I play golf and tennis when not in school, but I eventually want to go to college for aero-space engineering or computer science. Being in 11th grade at my school, I get to be a part of the robotics team. When at Mathnasium, I love teaching kids and watching them learn and understand concepts they are struggling with. Each kid is different and I enjoy trying to find new ways to teach them how to do something.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
