Mark opened the first Mathnasium center in Utah in 2008, following a successful career in software development and consulting. His love of math and passion for teaching have kept him dedicated to Mathnasium for more than 16 years.
As an owner, Mark is committed to helping students develop strong foundational skills and confidence in math. When he’s not supporting his centers, he enjoys woodworking, reading, and traveling (having visited 21 countries and counting).
Connor brings both analytical and creative strengths to his role as Lead Instructor. In addition to his talent for math, he’s an aspiring author currently completing his first fantasy novel.
He enjoys helping students understand complex math topics in ways that spark curiosity and build confidence. Connor believes that the logic behind math and the creativity of storytelling go hand in hand.
Holden is a senior at American Preparatory Academy and plans to attend Utah State University. He brings enthusiasm, patience, and a strong grasp of math fundamentals to his role as an instructor.
Holden enjoys building rapport with students and helping them gain clarity and confidence. He’s proud to be part of a team that makes math more accessible and rewarding for all learners.
Spencer holds an MS in Mathematics, an MS in Education, and a BS in Statistics, all from the University of Utah. With over 25 years of teaching experience at both the college and K–12 levels, he brings deep expertise and a lifelong commitment to education.
Spencer enjoys helping students of all ages grow in their understanding and appreciation of math. Outside of teaching, he is a proud uncle to 17 nieces and nephews and a big fan of Boston sports and Disney parks.
Seme is an engineer at Boeing with degrees in both mechanical and electrical engineering. His passion for math extends beyond his day job, and he enjoys sharing that enthusiasm with students at Mathnasium.
Whether solving problems in the classroom or designing systems at work, Seme values precision, persistence, and learning. He brings a unique, real-world perspective to math instruction that helps students see the value of what they’re learning.
Stephani has been with Mathnasium for over 13 years. With such a passion for teaching math that she just can't give it up. She has a degree in Math Education from BYU, so it is in her blood. Stephanie is avid fan of musical theater and you are likely to see her at Hale Center theater any time.
Violet is a sophomore at Hillcrest High School in the IB program. We expect big things from her in the future.
Sima comes to us from Turkey by way of Greece, Ukraine, Serbia and Philadelphia. She has a degree in math from Penn State and when not teaching math with us, she can be found selling homes in the Salt Lake area.
