Corey Thomas

Center Director

Corey graduated with a degree in education from THE Ohio State University and spent the first 6 years of his career teaching middle school math. He is passionate about helping kids achieve what they never thought was possible while growing the confidence it takes to do so. Everyone is capable of vastly more than they think! He is an avid Ohio State football and Cleveland Guardians baseball fan who enjoys traveling to games, and his favorite math topic is probability and statistics.

Chelsi Marques

Managing Director

Chelsi graduated with a degree in chemical engineering from Rutgers University and was able to use her knowledge in the field to work as a chemist for L’Oréal in the skincare lab. She is very passionate about showing students how math is useful in the real world and how it can be utilized in different careers (even in the cosmetics industry!). She recently moved from New Jersey to Ohio, however, she lived in Dublin for 10 years when she was in elementary school and is very excited to be back!

Owen

Assistant Center Director

Owen is a third year at Ohio State University Columbus Campus. He is Majoring in Psychology and minoring in Art and Philosophy while continuing to take challenging math courses. Math has always been fun and enjoyable to him, but he also loves pursuing other passions like ceramics. But most of all, he loves working with kids of all ages to help them improve their confidence and skills at math! || Favorite Math Topics: Algebra, Quadratic Factoring, and Statistics || Favorite Movie Quote: "It's no use going back to yesterday because I was a different person then." ~Alice in Wonderland

Elizabeth

Lead Instructor

Elizabeth is a senior at Dublin Jerome High School. Her favorite part of working at Mathnasium is getting to teach the kids and watch them improve in their mathematical abilities. Outside of work she’s involved in band and the Key club at her school. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, running and, listening to music. Vivien

Lead Instructor

Vivien hopes to pursue mechanical engineering in college. At Jerome, she is a part of math team and BE wise club. Outside of school, she is a part of OCCS leadership and club volleyball. She also loves cats and watching movies. She loves math because of how it challenges her and makes her think deeper on the applications of it. || Favorite Math Topic: Trigonometry || Favorite Movie Quote: “If you’re good at something never do it for free” ~The Dark Knight
