What I'm hearing from Eagan families this September

Now that school is back in full swing, a lot of the parents I'm talking with are happy that we can connect directly with their child's teacher and shape our sessions around what's actually happening in the classroom. One especially proud moment this month was hearing that one of our students scored 100 percent on a school math test for the very first time. At the same time, some families are honest that fitting school, Mathnasium, and fall activities into one schedule is a lot, and a few are taking a short break until things settle down. We're always glad to have them back whenever they're ready.

What I'm seeing most right now really depends on the student. Most of the kids I'm working with are catching up toward grade level, and for a good number of them that means bridging gaps from the last two or three grades. Every kid's path looks a little different, which is exactly why we build each plan around the individual rather than a one size fits all approach.

My advice to parents in Eagan is to keep a close eye on how your child is doing in math and reach out the moment you notice a gap starting to form. The earlier we can step in, the easier it is to close that gap before it grows into something bigger.
