At Mathnasium of East Cobb, we believe the best exam preparation is building deep math understanding and mastery over time.
Students begin their enrollment process with a diagnostic assessment that helps us identify their current skills and knowledge gaps. From there, we create a personalized learning plan that builds math skills consistently, session by session, so students aren't starting from scratch before every test.
Our specially trained tutors work with students across any PreK-12 math class, from elementary math through Precalculus and beyond, reinforcing the concepts they're learning in school, filling in foundational gaps, and developing the problem-solving skills that serve them on quizzes, midterms, and final exams alike.
When a major exam is approaching, we can align instruction with the specific topics and concepts it will cover, so students walk in feeling prepared.
Absolutely! At Mathnasium of East Cobb, we help students prepare for the math sections of the GMAS by aligning instruction with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Mathematics and each student's individual needs.
The process begins with a diagnostic assessment to pinpoint gaps in understanding. From there, we create a personalized learning plan designed to build the skills students need to meet grade-level expectations and feel prepared on test day.
The sooner the better. Since the GMAS evaluates the math skills students have developed over the course of the school year, consistent preparation throughout the year is far more effective than a rushed approach before the test.
We encourage families to reach out at the start of the school year so we have enough time to address any foundational gaps and build strong grade-level skills. If your student's exam is approaching sooner, contact us and we'll develop a targeted plan around the time available.
Yes! Mathnasium of East Cobb prepares high school students for the math sections of the SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT®.
Our specially trained tutors use proprietary test prep materials and personalized learning plans to build the content knowledge and problem-solving strategies students need to perform their best on test day. Whether your student is taking the exam for the first time or looking to improve their score, we tailor preparation to their current skill level and target goals.
Earlier is always better, and we generally recommend beginning at least three to six months before the exam date.
The SAT®, PSAT®, and ACT® cover a broad range of math content, including algebra, data analysis, geometry, and trigonometry on the ACT®. Starting early gives students the time they need to work through knowledge gaps, practice exam-style problems, and build the consistency and confidence that lead to strong results on test day.
Students with more significant foundational gaps benefit most from beginning in middle school or early high school. If the exam is coming up sooner, reach out to Mathnasium of East Cobb and we'll build a targeted plan around your student's timeline.
Mathnasium of East Cobb offers math test prep as part of a flat monthly membership fee. Pricing depends on your student's individual plan and session schedule.
For specific pricing information, please contact our center directly — we're happy to walk you through the options and find a plan that fits your student's goals and your family's needs.
There is no single answer, as the right number of sessions depends on the exam your student is preparing for, their current skill level, and the time available before test day.
For major standardized tests like the SAT®, PSAT®, or ACT®, most students benefit from two sessions per week over a three-to-six-month period. For state assessments or school-based exams, a shorter timeline may be sufficient depending on each student's needs.
Once we complete the diagnostic assessment, we'll recommend a session schedule tailored to your student's goals and the time they have available.
Yes. Mathnasium of East Cobb provides online math test prep through live, face-to-face virtual sessions.

Not in any meaningful way. Whether your student attends in-center or online, they follow the same personalized learning plan and receive the same live, face-to-face instruction from our specially trained tutors.
Many families find that mixing in-center and online sessions gives them the flexibility they need around busy schedules and upcoming exam dates.
Yes! Our East Cobb tutors are familiar with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) for Mathematics and the curriculum expectations students encounter in local schools.
