After starting as an Instructor in Lakeland Highlands, Holly saw the Mathnasium method makes a real difference in students lives. When she moved back to her hometown of Vancouver, she decided to continue the journey of math education in East Vancouver. Holly also enjoys painting, music, and stickers.

Ben Schmiedicke

Lead Instructor
Ben grew up in San Diego County, California, and earned his math degree and teaching credential from CSU Northridge in Los Angeles. He advocates for personalized education, targeting specific areas that need the most attention rather than using a broad approach. Ben enjoys the challenge of solving Sudokus and has a beloved cat named Wemby. Be careful—he loves sharing cat pictures, so don't bring her up at Mathnasium!

Xander Hawkins

Xander earned his Associate of Arts degree from Clark College in 2022, and is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science and Interdisciplinary Neuroscience from Portland State University, with hopes to become a career researcher. In his spare time, Xander loves cooking and baking, trail running, and rock climbing.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
