I am about as nerdy as you can imagine, but simultaneously I consider myself pretty well rounded. I have a great love for math and physics. My dream job would be to do research and development on Quantum Computers. I like to stay active, whether it be rock climbing or hanging out with my friends. In my free time I find myself playing a lot of video games or pondering the mysteries of the universe.

I am a student at UCO studying Electrical Engineering with the goal of working in the Astronautical field! I love everything space and am very excited at the prospect of participating in the start of our expansion beyond the Earth. While I’m still down here on our home planet, I’m keeping myself busy with providing a Math education for both myself and the students I work with. On top of managing the center, I’m also working on research through UCO’s math department to analyze Electrocardiogram data!

Ever since I learned to count I have enjoyed learning and applying mathematics. I have tutored mathematics for over 5 years and have always enjoyed the lightbulb moment when a student finally starts to understand the material they have been struggling with. While I do have my associates degree I have no plan on stopping my passion to learn math. That is, I am currently pursuing my actuarial science degree at UCO and should be graduating in May of 2025.
How far have you gone in your math studies: I have my associate’s in mathematics with an education emphasis.
I am a non-traditional (*cough* homeschooled) high school junior attending the Computer Science Academy at Francis Tuttle. I love math but lots of other things too! My dream is to double-major in music and computer science, with a minor in mathematics, at MIT. I love fractals, hate bad grammar, and want to learn as much as I can about everything!
How far have you gone in your math studies: I am currently in Calculus AB. I have also taken some Linear Algebra, and computer science specific math such as Boolean algebra and bitwise operations.
Hello! I am currently a Junior at Edmond Memorial High School. I am on the Speech and Debate team at school, as well as Youth and Government. I got really into math in 8th grade, and have loved to keep learning ever since. When I graduate from high school I plan on going to college to study physics or mathematics to (hopefully) become an astrophysicist! I love anything involving space, animals, math, and writing!
How far have you gone in your math studies: I am currently in Geometry and studying Algebra on the side.
I’m a high school student who takes a lot of college classes concurrently. Right now, I’m taking calculus III at OU, as well as a few other non-math related classes. Math has been my favorite subject for years, and I try to pass down my knowledge and love for math to all of my younger peers.

My name is Trey Hernandez, and I moved to Edmond this summer from Eagle River, Alaska. My father is in the military, which is why I’ve also lived in Germany and Oklahoma before moving here. I currently go to school at Santa Fe High School, and I am learning German. In addition to my normal activities, I am currently in physical therapy to help my right ankle recover. Once I have finished physical therapy, I plan to join the track and field team, as well as the cross country team. I believe deeply that learning math is not a subject that needs to be boring, but can be fun and used for fun projects, just like the creations you see in shows like Phineas and Ferb.
How far have you gone in your math studies: I am currently in Trig/Pre Calc, as well as AP physics 1.
