Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Elkhorn

Joseph Wherry & Andrea Wherry

Andrea and Joseph are the Center Directors at Mathnasium of Elkhorn. Prior to opening this Mathnasium center, Andrea worked with Elkhorn Public Schools at West Dodge Station Elementary as a Teacher's Assistant. Andrea graduated from Papillion LaVista High School. In her spare time, Andrea loves playing basketball and successfully coached boys basketball through the Elkhorn Attack program for over 5 years. She also volunteers at Hearts United for Animals in Auburn, Ne., spending time working and helping with rescued dogs and cats. We are huge animal lovers. Joseph currently works for the City of Omaha. Joseph is a lifelong resident of Elkhorn. Joseph graduated from Elkhorn High and the University of Nebraska at Kearney. In his spare time, Joseph likes to exercise daily, listen to audiobooks, watch comedy shows and spend time with his family. We are Mathnasium parents. Our oldest son went through this program and gained confidence in math which has helped him excel in math as he grew older. COVID has been hard on us all and we have noticed the struggles children have had with academics. Knowing how wonderful this program is and seeing firsthand how it can change a child's outlook (turned "I hate math" into "Math is easy"), makes this such an exciting venture. We were given an opportunity to open a center in our hometown and are excited to bring this program to the area.
