Andrea and Joseph Wherry are the Center Directors of Mathnasium of Elkhorn. Andrea previously worked with Elkhorn Public Schools as a teacher’s assistant at West Dodge Station Elementary and has coached boys basketball through the Elkhorn Attack program for over five years. She also volunteers at Hearts United for Animals, supporting rescued cats and dogs.
Joseph is a lifelong Elkhorn resident and currently works for the City of Omaha. Together, they bring their passion for education and community to Mathnasium. As Mathnasium parents, they have seen the program transform a child’s outlook from “I hate math” to “Math is easy.”
Dominic is a sophomore at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He enjoys video games, graphic design, gardening, and spending time with family and friends.
At Mathnasium, he combines his love for math with an interest in technology and design. In the future, Dominic hopes to pursue a career as a programmer or graphic designer.
Jackson is entering his junior year at the University of Nebraska Omaha. He enjoys golfing, working out, and spending time with friends.
He is excited to share his enthusiasm for math with students and help them strengthen their skills at Mathnasium of Elkhorn.
Tom recently retired after 42 years of teaching computer science at Briar Cliff University, along with three years of secondary math teaching in Iowa and Nebraska. He and his wife Paula have been married for 39 years and have two daughters, four grandchildren, and another on the way.
In retirement, Tom enjoys creating YouTube videos, traveling, and playing golf. He looks forward to continuing his passion for teaching by helping students succeed in math.
Addison is a junior in high school with a long-standing love for math. In addition to academics, she enjoys reading, playing piano, and eating chocolate.
Her favorite season is autumn, and she especially loves traveling to the beach. Addison is excited to bring her enthusiasm for math to students at Mathnasium of Elkhorn.
My name is Trenton and I'm currently a Junior in High School. I love to spend time with my friends or do anything else that will get me out of the house. I plan to pursue a major in Astronomy after High School.
Hi, my name is Lily and I'm a Junior at Creighton University majoring in Biochemistry and minoring in Spanish on the pre-medical track. For fun, I like to be around animals and learn new things.
My name is Taylor and I graduated from UNL with degrees in Animal Science and Biochemistry. In my free time, I like to ride my horse Gus, read and hang out with my friends and family.
Hi, my name is Violet. I'm a senior in High School. I have two cats and I love spending my free time reading books and watching 80's movies. My favorite subject in school is math and science. Both my family and I enjoy watching college football and are big Iowa State fans.
Hello, my name is Jameson and I am a Junior in High School. In my free time, I enjoy coding and hanging out with my friends. At home, I have two younger siblings and two French bulldog puppies named Poe and Neville. I plan to go to college once I graduate and pursue a major in computer science.
