Tyler Kloss

Assistant Center Director
Hi, my name is Tyler. I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. I've been working at Mathnasium for 6 years. I started as an instructor and have transitioned to the Assistant Center Director role. The job of instructing math is extremely fulfilling. I enjoy helping others by igniting a positive relationship between students and mathematics. Overcoming any fear and misunderstanding of math can truly be transformative for young learners. As an Assistant Director, Mathnasium provides me the opportunity to overcome challenges, instill confidence, and build strong foundations in the lives of many.

Anthony Mulllins

Assistant Center Director
Hey there, my name is Anthony. I am the Assistant Center Director for Mathnasium in El Segundo. I will be attending El Camino College in the Fall for Computer Science. I love playing music (guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, piano) and playing all types of games with friends and family. At Mathnasium, it brings me joy to help students understand math and enjoy the process of problem solving. It's a privilege to be a part of a student's academic growth.

Arya Ahadzadeh

Instructor
Hi, my name is Arya and I'm also a senior at El Segundo High School. After high school, I plan to go to university and major in Civil Engineering. In my free time, I enjoy video games, spending time with my friends and family, and watching or playing soccer and basketball. I like working at Mathnasium because I like math and it makes me happy when I see students understanding new concepts and having fun at the same time.

Frederick Ramirez

Instructor
Hi, my name is Frederick but most people know me as Freddie. I am studying applied mathematics and my end goal is to earn a PhD in mathematics. I enjoy helping people and I love math! It stems from living in a world where math is all around us, if you look anywhere, you will find it! When I combine those two it makes it easy and enjoyable to teach/talk about math. Interesting fact is that the owner of Mathnasium used to be my math teacher is high school. During my free time I enjoy being outside by doing activities such as cycling, hiking or running.

Yasir Hossain

Instructor
Hey guys! I'm Yasir. I am a full-time student at California State University Long Beach, majoring in Computer Science. I'm also currently working as a research assistant at the university. During my free time, I like to go to the gym, play sports (mostly basketball and tennis), watch movies and anime, and spend time with my family. Throughout school, I was taught that to truly have mastery with not just math, but anything in life, you have to be able to teach it to someone. So working at Mathnasium allows me to achieve true math mastery. Helping students has also given me a new perspective on the joys of being a teacher.

Rachel Tiet

Instructor
Hi! My name is Rachel. I am a graduate student at the University of Massachusetts Global for a teaching credential in life science and a Master of Arts in Teaching. I’ve always loved math and science, and I want to push the boundaries of teaching these subjects so that they can be more accessible to all students. I love working with the students at Mathnasium, and I’m always glad to help students find which learning strategies work best for them. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games with my family and playing with our dog.

Santos Penaloza

Instructor
Hi, my name is Santos. I am currently working on my Bachelor’s in Applied Mathematics at Cal State Long Beach. In my free time I enjoy going on hikes, watching Japanese animation, and spending time with family and friends. I've always enjoyed helping my classmates with their HW at school so working at Mathnasium to help future generations better understand Math seemed very natural. Watching their expressions when they finally understand something is a very rewarding feeling.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
