Austin Robare

Assistant Center Director
Hi, my name is Austin! I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to California in February of 2022. I graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Science with a degree in Audio Engineering. My strongest loves in life (aside from my family and friends) are math, science and music. I found audio engineering is a fun way to combine all three. Math has been my favorite subject since I was a kid and I have always loved working with kids. I find it very inspiring and fulfilling to help younger generations gain the knowledge and tools that are so deeply important and prevalent throughout their lives. Consequently, Mathnasium is the perfect fit!

Kevin Tao

Hello, my name is Kevin. I graduated from UC San Diego with a B.S. in Biochemistry. I enjoy trying out new restaurants and cooking new dishes in my free time. Mathnasium is an awesome way for students to enrich their education and it makes me proud to be a part of their growth and progress. Having tutored for over 7 years with fellow classmates and young students, Mathnasium is the right fit for me.

Ashley Oh

Hi, my name is Ashley! I am a biology major at El Camino College. I love teaching at Mathnasium because I can develop relationships and trust with students. It is a rewarding experience to see students understand a concept they initially thought was difficult and gain confidence in their ability to solve math. During my free time, I enjoy listening to Korean pop and playing Animal Crossing.

Frederick Ramirez

Hi, my name is Frederick but most people know me as Freddie. I am studying applied mathematics and my end goal is to earn a PhD in mathematics. I enjoy helping people and I love math! It stems from living in a world where math is all around us, if you look anywhere, you will find it! When I combine those two it makes it easy and enjoyable to teach/talk about math. Interesting fact is that the owner of Mathnasium used to be my math teacher is high school. During my free time I enjoy being outside by doing activities such as cycling, hiking or running.

Thomas Eapen

Hi, I'm Thomas. I am a full-time student at El Camino College, majoring in Applied Mathematics. My goal is to transfer to UCLA in 2 years to finish my degree, and then pursue a graduate degree as well. I love working at Mathnasium because I enjoy spreading my passion for math onto others. Working with the students inspires me to do well in my own math classes as well. In my free time, I love to read, listen to music, play video games, or play volleyball at the beach.

Rachel Tiet

In my free time, I enjoy playing video games with my family and playing with our dog.

Our Mathnasium Mission

Teach children math so they understand it, master it, and love it. Math can change their lives, and they can change the world.

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
