Andrew Burley

Andrew is passionate about Mathnasium's power of "Changing Lives Through Math". Andrew worked in management at a local Mathnasium while earning his degree from the University of South Florida. His experiences with Mathnasium even led him to pursuing a degree in Mathematics! After earning his degree, Andrew spent time briefly as an Artificial Intelligence researcher before becoming a project manager for hospital systems. In his time working in these roles, Andrew saw first hand how the problem-solving skillset that math teaches can benefit you far beyond the classroom. Outside of his time at Mathnasium, Andrew enjoys reading (historical fiction and TIME Magazine are his favorites), hiking, and learning French. Andrew has a particular love of the mountains, having spent his summers growing up in Wyoming. Andrew believes deeply in the Mathnasium Method's ability to improve understanding by breaking problems down to their constituent parts. He believes that intuitive understanding, not memorization, is the foundation to success. Andrew is always happy to discuss the ways in which Mathnasium can benefit current or prospective students. and has seen hundreds of students achieve a deeper level of understanding and improve their math scores here at Mathnasium!
