Meet the Team at Mathnasium of Evanston Skokie

Ilan Heifetz, M.Ed.

Ilan has spent his entire career in education, teaching multiple grades, and prior to Mathnasium had most recently been serving as the Director of General Studies at a parochial school for 13 years. In that capacity, Ilan was responsible for the supervision of staff and students, professional development, curricular development, and academic performance, among other responsibilities. Concurrently, Ilan had served as assistant director of a local summer camp for 17 years. Ilan holds a Master's degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Loyola University, Chicago. Ilan is the proud father of five children, three of whom attend Mathnasium! When not at Mathnasium, Ilan can often be found running in preparation for a marathon or some other race, usually for charity. Ilan is a Boston Qualifier, and Abbott World Marathon Majors Age Group World Championships qualifier! As passionate as Ilan is about running, he is more passionate about education, and about math education and critical thinking in particular. Ilan loves being a part of the Mathnasium team!
