Our staff is built to teach each student individually, to develop the skills they need to thrive in mathematics, and to foster a love of learning.

Zahrah Mahmood

Lead Instructor

My name is Zahrah, and I am the Lead Instructor at Mathnasium of Fair Oaks. I’ve always had a passion for working with kids.

I believe in making math fun and engaging—laughter and a bit of humor are always welcome as long as we’re learning! In my free time, you’ll find me outdoors with my dogs and friends, enjoying the fresh air.

Favorite number: 8 – I love how it’s both a number and sounds like the word "ate."

Favorite math joke: Have you ever noticed what’s odd? Every other number!

Why I love Mathnasium: Mathnasium works to figure out what is best for each student by tailoring an individual learning plan. This allows everyone to succeed rather than practicing a "one size fits all" approach.

Diya Ahmad

Instructor

My name is Diya, and I am an Instructor at Mathnasium of Fair Oaks. I have always excelled at tutoring kids and enjoy watching them excel. Some of my hobbies include hanging out with friends, playing guitar and also playing video games.

Favorite Video Game: My favorite video game is Valorant because a lot of my friends play it as well.

Favorite Math Joke: What did the triangle say to the circle? You're pointless.

Why I love Mathnasium: I love Mathnasium because it allows me to interact with kids and also lets us as instructors make math fun for the kids as well.

Tyler Lacroix

Instructor

My name is Tyler, and I am an Instructor at Mathnasium of Fair Oaks. I have always enjoyed tutoring kids and seeing them achieve higher and higher grades.

Favorite Video Game: My favorite video game is Rainbow Six Siege because it's very strategic and gets me thinking.

Favorite Math Joke: If you're cold, go to the corner of the room. It's 90 degrees over there.

Why I love Mathnasium: I love Mathnasium because it allows me to do what I like to do: teach math.
