Camp Mathnasium!

How It Works?!

With a ton of STEAM based activities there’s no shortage of math-focused fun and education for students to partake in! Each day will be a different subject focus. Also, every day will contain both lessons about specific fun topics and activities related to the topics they just learned in the lesson!

See our sample week below to understand further how the camp is structured and the kinds of fun activities we will be offering!

Sample Week:

Monday - Art Day - Students will learn about the importance of design and artistic creativity in the fields of engineering, architecture, and psychology. They will work to create their own building and bridge designs, machine designs, and optical illusions!

Tuesday - Physics Day - Students will learn about the interesting and often counterintuitive world of physics. Through demonstrations on physical phenomena and creative building of a stick bridge students will learn about forces, geometry, and the impact physics has on everything we enjoy!

Wednesday - Chemistry Day - Students will learn about the tiny world we can't see! Classic demonstrations like Elephant Toothpaste vs. Baking Soda volcanos will be presented; along with other activities such as making our very own slime!

Thursday - Math Day - Students will learn about how math supports it all! From engineering to psychology and video games to taxes, the enormous utility of math should not go unnoticed. Students will partake in activities that show the importance of math in our everyday lives! 

Daily Structure For Sample Art Day:

9:00 AM - 9:20 AM - Lesson on the importance of design in engineering and architecture.

9:20 AM - 9:40 AM - Time To Create! Students will create their own building designs.

9:40 AM - 10:00 AM - Snack Time!

10:00 AM - 10:30 AM - Lesson on optical illusions and their relevance in psychology.

10:30 AM - 11:00 AM - Time To Create! Students will create drawn optical illusions.

11:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Math Focus! Students work on customized math problems.
