Jennifer Speer

Owner

Jennifer combines the insight of a parent, educator, and entrepreneur to create learning spaces where students thrive. A homeschooling mom of three, she understands both the challenges and joys of helping kids learn. Her engaging, energetic approach keeps students interested and progressing in math in a way that’s fun and rewarding. 

She holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Southwest Texas State University and, alongside her husband James, has built multiple Mathnasium centers dedicated to helping kids excel. Jennifer loves being part of a program that transforms children’s confidence and changes lives through the power of understanding math. 

Larry Martinek

Creator of the Mathnasium Method

Larry has spent his entire career developing more effective ways to teach math. From inner-city classrooms to elite private schools, he has worked as both a teacher and consultant, creating curriculum and strategies that make math accessible and engaging for all students. 

As the developer of the Mathnasium Method, Larry designed one of the most innovative programs in math education. Though not an instructor at this center, his expertise continues to guide teachers, helping them tailor lessons that inspire confidence and lasting understanding in every student. 

Amy Darg

Lead Instructor

Amy is a retired educator who brings decades of teaching experience and a passion for helping students discover the joy of math. She joined Mathnasium of Forney in 2024 and quickly became known for her warm approach and dedication to student growth. 

She loves creating a positive, encouraging learning environment where kids feel supported and capable of success. Her favorite number is 3, because “everything happens in threes,” and she enjoys reminding students that learning can be both fun and rewarding—especially when math starts to make sense. 

Kinsley Goodwin

Lead Instructor

Kinsley is a creative and enthusiastic instructor who recently graduated high school and joined Mathnasium to share her love of teaching and learning. Known for her energy and kindness, she loves helping students gain confidence while finding new ways to make math fun and approachable. 

When she’s not teaching, Kinsley enjoys painting, dancing, and spending time with her shih tzu, D.Va. She hopes to study ministry or continue working with children in the future. Her favorite number is 11, and her favorite joke: “If you were a triangle, you’d be acute one.” 

Addisyn Woodard

Instructor

Addisyn is an Instructor at the Forney Mathnasium center and a student at Forney High School. She has loved math since elementary school and enjoys bringing creativity into everything she does, from theater to photography. Addisyn is passionate about making learning fun and engaging for students while helping them build confidence in math. She hopes to turn that passion into a future career in education.

Favorite number: 24 — it’s the day she was born.

Favorite math joke: Why should you never talk to Pi? Because it will go on and on forever.

In five years, I will be: Finishing college with a teaching certificate.

Greg Springer

Instructor

Greg is a retired math and career technology teacher who also proudly served 15 years in the Air Force Reserves working in Telecommunications. With a lifelong love for math (and a knack for binary jokes), he now brings his passion for teaching to Mathnasium, where he helps students build skills and confidence. He and his wife live in Forney with their two children, and he enjoys spending his semi-retired life cheering them on in their activities.

Favorite Number: 111001 — it’s his current age in binary!
Favorite Math Joke: “There are only 0010 types of people: those who know binary and those who don’t.”
In 5 Years: Still enjoying semi-retired life and supporting his kids in everything they do.
