Wesley Matthews

Center Director/Owner

Hi, I am Wesley the Owner and Director of the local Mathnasium of Fort Mill. I took over the Mathnasium of Fort Mill Dec. 1st 2021 after directing centers in Raleigh for 6 years. I studied Physics at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem where I graduated at the top of my class in Physics. I attended graduate school for Physics at NC State University and left with my Masters after experiencing medical trouble. I began at Mathnasium as an instructor at that time and found I greatly enjoyed the experience. My wife and I are overjoyed to be making our home in Fort Mill and owning our own center. Outside of working with students on Math, I enjoy spending time with my own preschooler. I am an avid cook, singer, reader, and gamer. I can't wait to meet and coach your student!

Lead Instructor

Jill was an Economics major at West Point and later earned her MBA from Long Island University. She has three adult daughters. An experience helping her daughter (who has dyslexia) with math, became the catalyst for Jill's desire to help more students with math. "Math should be fun and make students happy when they solve the puzzle put before them."

Ashley

Director

Hello! My name is Ashley and I am the director at Mathnasium of Fort Mill. I have a background with engineering and Instructed at the center for 2 years prior to moving into the Director position. I grew up and still live in South Charlotte. I'm excited to be able to give back to our local community. I especially enjoy being able to build students confidence and repair students relationships with math through our work at the center. In my free time I enjoy reading and working with my trained police dog. I'm looking forward to getting to meet you and your student!

Our Mathnasium Mission

What I love about Mathnasium is the ability to teach problem-solving skills and make math make sense, while also making a student smile.
