Evan is the dedicated Center Director at Mathnasium, bringing a passion for helping students excel in math. Evan earned a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Bakersfield and has a background in education as a high school math teacher. Before joining Mathnasium, Evan also worked as a Program Technician for Aging & Adult Services, gaining valuable experience in problem-solving and support.
Passionate about making math make sense, Evan loves helping students build confidence and enjoy learning. A fan of all things colorful—despite being colorblind—Evan brings a unique perspective to the classroom.
In his free time, Evan enjoys music and can even solve a Rubik’s cube in under a minute.

Brandon Bastos is an engineering student at Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) with a passion for helping students reach new heights—both in the classroom and on the climbing wall. As an avid rock climber and dedicated teacher, he enjoys drawing connections between problem-solving in mathematics and overcoming life’s challenges. Brandon is excited to help students build strong mathematical foundations and confidence in their abilities.
Jodi has a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Math from Hope College and graduated with her secondary teaching certificate. She also has a Master’s degree in Math Education and a Specialist’s degree in Curriculum and Teacher Leadership from Piedmont College.
Jodi has been teaching for 20 years and has taught all levels from 8th grade math to IB math studies. Jodi is also a certified gifted instructor. Jodi loves to teach and tutor because she loves to see the sense of great achievement when a student grasps a difficult math concept! She also believes that every student can succeed and excel with the proper tools and support.
Lauren graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Studies degree focused on Mathematics Education and Psychology. She has mastered math skills in the areas of College Algebra, Calculus I – Calculus III, Differential Equations, and Statistics I & II.
Lauren developed a passion for math education during her first two years of high school, and it continued throughout her college years. She believes that math is meant to be challenging and enjoyable, not frustrating and scary. Since starting at Mathnasium in 2011, she has enjoyed the continued success of her students and inspiring them to love math as much as she does.
